I would like to tell you about a foundation that I have recently tried, and loved! Revlon Colorstay foundation is an amazing product! I found it a month ago when I was searching for a foundation that didn’t cost as much as the ones that they carried in the department stores. My sister uses Estee Lauder, however almost twenty dollars a bottle seemed outrageous to me. I simply couldn’t see myself spending that kind of money on a tiny bottle of makeup. I started looking for something that was the same quality, without the hefty price tag attached.
I haven’t had any kind of problem with acne my entire life. Maybe one pimple here and there. However, recently I’ve started getting maybe ten pimples at a time. They’re embarassing to me. I don’t try any kind of salicylic acid acne treatments with the fear that they’ll dry out my skin, and possibly cause more acne outbreaks. So because of the embarassment, i’ve decided to try a foundation. Whenever my acne goes away I just won’t need to wear the foundation anymore. A foundation is used to cover your face which acts like a mask. Revlon Colorstay provides great coverage. It covers those stubborn acne scars, any kind of scratch, or a blemish. You don’t notice it at all after you put on the makeup. Like magic, it disappears. Make sure you get a color that matches your skin. Revlon Colorstay comes in many different colors, so it’s easy to pick out the one that is right for you. This particular foundation comes in two different types. They make the foundation for combination/oily skin or for normal/dry skin. I picked Revlon Colorstay foundation combination/oily 250 fresh beige. This is a great color for the summer. It has a subtle golden color which makes you look like you have a nice tan. However, make sure you blend it in good with your hand at the neckline. If you don’t then you’ll see a perfect line where you used the applicator to apply your foundation.
To apply the foundation first I tie my hair back to make sure no loose strands get in the way. If your hair gets in the way it’s hard to get the foundation out because it almost stains your hair. You can use a tiny bit of shampoo and some water to get the foundation out of your hair. After your hair is tied back, I use a Q-tip to apply the foundation to my face. Paint your whole face with the Q-tip, including the skin that’s at your hairline and right around the outside of your lips. I also put it over my eyelids, under my eyes, and over my eyebrows. After your face is entirely covered with the foundation, use your fingertips to smear it into your face in areas that look thick or caked on. I love Revlon Colorstay foundation because it works just as well as the foundations that they sell in the department stores but for half of the price. I truly believe that this is the best foundation out there. You’ll have to try it out and see for yourself!
