Why is She Talking About This? 16-Year-Old Bride Courtney Stodden’s Mom Says She’s on Birth Control

We were floored when news broke that 51-year-old “Lost” actor Doug Hutchison had married a 16-year-old girl. Surely, that heavily-made up girl was more like 26, rather than 16, right? Right?

No such luck. E! News uncovered Stodden’s birth certificate and it shows that her birthday is Aug. 29, 1994. You know what that means: she’ll be 17 soon. Hope the hubby is planning a party at Chuck-E Cheese to celebrate.

Stodden and Hutchison: Love Story?

The couple’s marriage went into creepy overdrive when they gave an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America” where they dished on everything from their sex life to whether or not the actor is a pedophile.

The way we met was really beautiful,” the aspiring country singer told host Lara Spencer. “My mother was managing my career. Her friend told my mother that [Hutchison was] holding some workshops for acting. And I was very interested in acting. So what better way than to connect that way?”

“She sent me an email. And our exchange, at first, was just really about business,” Hutchison said.

They talked online for several months before meeting, all the while being monitored by Stodden’s mother, Krista.

And guess who was the one who brought up marriage? That’s right: her mother.

“It was Krista who said, ‘You know, you guys could get married if you want. There are ways to do that. There are certain states,'” Hutchison said.

Stodden is on Birth Control

As if the whole situation wasn’t creepy enough, the 16-year-old girl’s mother recently revealed that her daughter is on birth control.

“She’s making sure as much as she can at this time that it isn’t happening,” Mama Stodden told RadarOnline

“She’s on birth control because she would prefer to wait for children,” she added. “I think Doug would love to have children, but Courtney wants to wait a few years.”

But, what if she did get pregnant?

“If something happens we do not believe in abortion, so if God blesses them that would be ok, but they’re not trying for a baby now,” Krista said.

Gross. Remember: Stodden said she was a virgin when they wed in Las Vegas in May.

“If there is only one caveat to the ocean between our age difference, I wish that I was a virgin when we met,” Hutchison said.

“That’s fine that he wasn’t, he’s good. Whatever, he’s a tiger!” she countered.

Again, gross.

We have to say that it looks like the blonde Stodden is a victim in all of this. Her “husband” and parents are pushing her into this over-sexualized role — and for what? Money, most likely.

Do you think the relationship between Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison is a love story, or a creepy exploitation?
