With Summer now in full swing, it’s time to break out the two piece and show off that beach body you’ve spent all year getting into shape. After countless sit ups, push ups and every other kind of ups exercise you can think of, the real challenge is maintaining that body when long nights out come with a hefty caloric price tag after adding sugary cocktails to the mix. But Voli Light Vodkas aims to change all of that with the worlds first line of low-calorie vodkas.
Available in five flavors such as Lemon and Raspberry Cocoa Fusion, Voli maintains it’s low-calorie status in quite a revolutionary way. While vodka, on its own, is already typically low in calories, the problem comes in the form of sugary mixers such as orange juice and energy drinks which are used to mask the alcoholic burn associated with most vodkas. So Voli, noticing this catch 22, set out to create a truly light, low calorie vodka that could be enjoyed without all the additives.
This is achieved in two ways: A slightly lower alcohol content and less sugars from natural flavors. At 60 proof, Voli has roughly 13% less alcohol by volume than most flavored vodkas. Although that’s a slighter difference than between, say, a regular and light beer, Adam Kamenstein, CEO of Voli, explains “That negligible alcohol differential does reduce calories and, more significantly, eliminates that alcoholic burn that you get from a lot of vodkas and because of that we are able to put in less natural flavors which means less sugars.” So, as a result, “You can pour our Voli Orange Vanilla Fusion on the rocks, add a splash of club soda and you’ve got a fantastic tasting Creamsicle and it still remains an 85 calorie cocktail.” With a typical Creamsicle cocktail packing over 200 calories, that’s quite a significant difference.
Since starting Voli in 2008 after spending seven years as a federal prosecutor, Adam has come a long way with his vision. Along with painstakingly developing Voli’s signature fusion flavors, boasting booming markets in Los Angeles, New York and Florida, Adam has entrusted multi-platinum recording artist Pitbull as the new face of Voli. Although having Pitbull mention “Voli is the new vodka” in his new single “Rain On Me” with Marc Anthony, Adam makes it clear that Voli doesn’t fall in the ranks of vodka/rapper commodities. When asked about Pitbull’s involvement in the company, Adam says “It’s a partnership not a sponsorship. He” ‘”‘…”s an owner.” adding ” and without sounding clich, Pitbull is the hardest working man in show business.”
So this Summer, instead of sacrificing your waistline for a delicious cocktail, Voli suggests you to “keep it light” with Voli low-calorie vodkas.
