Twenty 8 Food & Spirits is a upscale restaurant & bar with a very sexy and sleek atmosphere. With zebra print chairs and smoking hot red accessories, it leaves a bit of a scandalous vibe. As you walk into the restaurant, you suddenly feel as though you have entered a very high class, New York scene, full of sassy decor and full-to-the-brim Cosmopolitans. The atmosphere is ideal for a romantic date night, or ladies night. It has a very feminine feel and may not be suited for an all guy party or family occasion, although they do welcome any and all guests!
The cuisine served at the restaurant and bar is American with a modern flare, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner! They utilize their stone heath oven to cook flat breads, entrees and appetizers exquisitely! On the website, Twenty8 classifies their food as “chic comfort food with a New England twist!” This description, fits the food to a T. They go to say that:
“Some of most popular menu items at Foxboro’s Twenty8 Food & Spirits include the Prosciutto Wrapped Shrimp Stuffed With Goat Cheese And Basil which is cooked in the stone hearth, the Red Bean And Three Cheese Dip With Freshly Made Flatbreads, the seafood – especially the Tuna, the Salmon Spring Rolls, and, of course, the Steaks and Chops.”
I consider myself an extremely picky eater (and I am a vegetarian to boot!) so I have difficulty ordering at many restaurants. With that being said, I was quite surprised to see that they offered pizzas, salads and pastas without meat! When I visited the restaurant, the allure of the stone hearth was too strong, and I went with a delicious order of the Margherita flat bread, which was thin, crisp and flavorful. The pizza was cooked with melted balls of mozarella cheese and the perfect portion of basil, and I would absolutely have difficulty not ordering it again; although I would love to try to Vegetable Lasagna. Other members of my party indulged in Pan Roasted Salmon and Lobster Mac n’ Cheese and moaned with delight the entire time- which I can only assume was a good thing! We also ordered double of the 3 Cheese New England Bean Dip with warm pita bread, and battled over who got the last piece.
Twenty8 Food and Spirits is a wonderful restaurant for a romantic date night! It has a very classy and sophisticated feel with a perfect pop of sexy and sleek!
