Once in awhile something comes along that changes you forever; for me that something is EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). In fact, it changed my life so much that I found myself aching to share what I had discovered with the world, which led me to train to become an EFT practitioner.
As I began to explore the way I wanted to develop my business, I began researching some of the better known EFT practitioners in order to explore various business models that I might want to consider for my own business. I knew what my vision was for my business and I found a few people on the internet who offered something similar but none really felt like a good fit for me. Then I ran across a website that seemed to put all of the pieces together for me. The first thing that grabbed my attention was the title of the website Thriving Now. I have been called a survivor for most of my life and I have resented, detested and hidden for the title and stigma that goes with it; I didn’t want to be a survivor, I didn’t want my identity or my life wrapped up in merely surviving. I wanted to thrive because to me thriving meant embracing every single moment of life and living it to the fullest. Thriving meant finally having the freedom to truly live.
I explored the website and noticed they had a team membership that offers several teleconference every single month and usually several each week as well. I liked this idea as I have found many times working in groups has helped me uncover issues of my own that I couldn’t see by myself. I love the energy and the ability to “borrow benefits” from others as well. I liked that even the public site offered a great deal of free information on more topics than I could get through in a week and that the authors of the site Rick Wilkes and Cathy Vartuli spoke in very down to earth language, neither claimed to have all the answers or even the only answer on any given subject. They felt real to me. After some debate, I finally decided to join the team portion of the site.
The team was so much more than I imagined it to be. The forums are a wonderful place to connect with others and the library of past teleconference, articles, blogs and even some video instructions on a few topics seem to be limitless. The library covers so many areas of healing as well as moving forward after the healing occurs that it would take me months to listen and read it all. The information is invaluable and it’s all there at my fingertips for forty-seven dollars a month.
The teleconferences are easy going and powerful. Rick and Cathy are a perfect blend of caring, compassion, humor and good old-fashioned common sense with each having an incredible sense of delivery with each tapping session.
Rick, clearly the more outgoing of the two has a great way of tossing humor into even some of the most intense moments and without being offensive in the process. His humor combined with an incredible level of empathy for the person he is working with makes the healing actually feel hanging out with an old friend.
Cathy, with her nurturing tone reminds all moms of how we wish we could be all the time with our children. Cathy focuses often on our inner children and was even able to move me to consider that maybe I should quit resisting the inner child in myself and begin to see that until the child heals, the adult will be stuck without making me feel as if I had to do anything. I always had the right to say yes or no and in a very profound way, this made me willing to consider working with that child inside of myself.
Both Rick and Cathy offer private sessions and with the team membership, each new member gets one twenty minute session with one of them as part of their first month’s membership. My session was with Rick. His work in a short time with me was incredible and shifted me in a way that it took me until the following morning to really see how big the shift has been. His generosity of his time, wisdom and heart touched me in a way that few do with me. I was incredibly impressed by his honesty and understanding of my situation. I was also almost shocked when I asked about more private sessions and his suggestion for a plan for myself. I made it clear, I was willing to pay whatever it was going to take to clear out the things that are getting in my way and move forward. Rick suggested that for now, I work with the team calls and check in again in a few weeks after some changes that I am making in my life are settled. He seemed to think I might find that I won’t need the one on one sessions as much as I might think I did. By no means was he blowing me off or trying to kindly say, “I don’t want to work with you”. Instead, he was saying that I should and see what happens before spending money I didn’t need to spend. This level of integrity is rare in any industry and I feel honored to be able to work with both of these gifted people.
If you are looking to move forward in your life and find an alternative way to healing your past, removing the blocks in your life that are getting in your way of living your life in the fullest possible way then EFT is a great option for a way to do that. If you want to work with some incredible people in that process then I suggest checking out www.thrivingnow.com and giving serious consideration to also joining the team. It will be the best forty-seven dollars a month you will ever invest in yourself.
