AT&T Wireless is known for its multitasking abilities on its smartphones and more. Obviously, the company directly competes with Verizon Wireless. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that AT&T carries some of the best smartphones on the market today for both 3G and 4G capabilities. AT&T’s network is one of the best out there too. Well then, what are the best smartphones available from AT&T? Check out the top five!
1. Motorola Atrix 4G
The Motorola Atrix 4G runs on Android 2.2, features a 5.0 megapixel camera/front-facing camera for video chat, and – obviously – runs on AT&T’s 4G network. Without a doubt, the Atrix 4G is the best Android smartphone from AT&T, offering fast speeds and plenty of features. The touchscreen is very responsive, and Internet browsing is extremely quick. For a 4G phone, the phone seems like it could be quicker, but it’s still faster than 3G phones in most cases. Motorola’s Atrix 4G is a powerful phone with it’s dual-core processor and more.
2. AT&T Apple iPhone 4
Of course, the Apple iPhone 4 has become the flagship phone for AT&T. Apple’s iPhone 4 offers a sleek design, a powerful camera, and other great features. The touchscreen looks incredible, the phone is very fast, and the features are great. Unfortunately, the iPhone 4 does have the antenna issue and multitasking is a bit reserved. Still, the phone is a great piece of machinery. Video chat is a nice feature, and the iPhone 4 is pretty darn powerful. On top of that, battery life is fairly good for a powerful smartphone.
3. Samsung Focus
A 4-inch touchscreen and Windows 7 makes the Samsung Focus a great smartphone. The touchscreen looks great, the phone responds quickly to touches, and the user interface is different from any other one, which is a good thing. Of course, the Focus supports some Xbox LIVE games – an incredible feature that gamers will enjoy. Samsung’s Focus has plenty of features and is pretty unique in comparison to other phones as far as the user interface goes. Unfortunately, the phone doesn’t even support copy and paste. Still, the phone is a great effort from Samsung and Microsoft.
4. Samsung Captivate
Running on Android 2.1, the Samsung Captivate offers HD video capture, 16 GB of memory, and plenty of other great features. The phone is extremely easy to use and is very responsive as far as the touchscreen and interface are concerned. Also, the phone features a pretty good camera, even though it lacks flash. Watching videos and listening to music on the phone are a great experience. In the end, the Captivate is a great phone overall. Most users will love the Captivate because it is easy to use and offers some great features.
5. HTC Inspire 4G
The HTC Inspire 4G is a large phone with a big touchscreen, a great camera, and some useful features. Of course, the smartphone runs on AT&T’s 4G network. This phone runs on Android 2.2 and is incredibly fast as far as the interface is concerned. Unfortunately, the 4G doesn’t seem much faster than AT&T’s 3G network, and the phone lacks a front-facing camera for video chat. The Inspire 4G is still a powerful phone that looks good, offers a great interface, fast speeds, and more.
AT&T Wireless does have some pretty great smartphones in its lineup. Of course, the iPhone 4 is one of the most popular smartphones in the country. The Motorola Atrix 4G is AT&T’s best offering right now though. Either way, AT&T is packed with some pretty powerful smartphones that any user will enjoy owning and using. The wireless carrier might have its work cut out for itself by competing with Verizon, but AT&T does so pretty well.
