Pac-Man is one of the most well-known arcade games. New versions of Pac-Man games are constantly released for various gaming systems. However, it all started with a simple game where Pac-Man ate white dots called Pac-Pellets that were located in a maze like grid. Along the way he tried to avoid the ghosts known as Inky, Pinky, Blinky, and Clyde. He could eat the ghosts when he ate a super Pac-Pellet which was bigger than the others, but this only lasted a limited amount of time. Once all the Pac-Pellets were eaten, another round started.
Kaboom is not one of the most well-known games, but is one of those games that make people remember it once it has been seen or played. The point of the game is to stop bombs from exploding. You control three buckets that are stacked. An expert bomber releases bombs once you tell him to start and you have to catch them in the buckets. If the bombs are not caught, they explode and one of the buckets explodes. If you do not have three buckets and you score 1,000 points, you get another bucket. However, if you lose all three buckets, the game is over.
Almost everybody that has been exposed to technology knows the circular or ovular orange guy that has feet and funny nose. I gave my sister this description and she said, “Q-Bert!” He hops up and down the stairs changing their colors. The object of the game is to try to change the color of every stair and not get hit by any of the enemies.
Some people know Bubble Bobble well while it makes others wonder what game it is. In Bubble Bobble, your character, that looks like a dragon blows bubbles which trap what look somewhat like the Sonic Tot characters with wind up cranks on their backs. The bubbles containing these enemies must be popped by jumping at them and then the fruit that comes out of the bubbles needs to be eaten. If the enemy stays in the bubble without it being popped, it will escape. It is also not good for the enemies to hit your character.
Most people who have a computer will think of Mini Putt from Kongregate or Addicting Games. This is not a surprise as this Mini Putt is like the classic Mini Putt. It is most likely modeled after it. However, this Mini Putt originated with the SEGA Master System. Just like in most golf games, the goal is to beat par.
