I’ve seen many commercials for Suave Professionals, but I hadn’t yet tried it. When I needed to buy some shampoo, I browsed all the shampoos available at the store. I looked at the Suave Professionals and smelled them all, as well as looked at the prices and labels to determine which product might be best for me. This brand is the right price, so I decided to buy it and hope it works as well as it claims!
Package and Price
The Suave Professionals Almond + Shea Butter shampoo comes in a light green bottle. The size I bought is 32 ounces (946 ml) for less than $4.00. Compared to more expensive brands, you could buy a product of only about a third that size (around 9 or 10 ounces typically) for over $5.00 and sometimes $6.00! The price is definitely right!
The light green bottle has a flip cap at the top to easily dispense the shampoo. It is a curvy rectangular bottle. At the top of the front label are the words “Suave Professionals” with information below stating this is a new product and contains “100% natural almond + shea butter.” Near the bottom it reveals that it is formulated to moisturize for dry, damaged hair. It is “salon proven to moisturize as well as” more pricey brands.
On the back of the product the label provides money saving tips, such as: “Turn off the tap. Did you know that your family could save up to $150 and 3200 gallons of water per year by turning off the water while you shampoo and condition?” This is based on an average family size of three. The bottle, which is recyclable, is made with 25% post-consumer recycled content and the product contains biodegradable cleansing agents. This demonstrates the Unilever brand that manufactures Suave cares about the environment.
Suave Professionals products can be found in a wide array of stores, from the local grocery store to online stores as well as mass merchandisers such as Walmart and Kmart.
Suave Professionals uses almond and shea butter for this moisturizing shampoo because these ingredients are known for their rich emollients, so it can nourish and replenish your hair while cleansing. Not only does it contain these natural ingredients, it also has aloe vera, lemongrass, rosemary, jojoba, and other herbs and plants to enrich your hair.
The shampoo itself is an iridescent white color, not too thick yet not runny at all. You can see tiny flecks of color throughout the product. It’s actually a very pretty liquid! But that means nothing if it doesn’t perform well. So, how does this product perform? I only need a very tiny amount (about 1/3 less than I normally use with my regular shampoo) to lather up my whole head of hair. It lathers incredibly well and you don’t need to use as much of the product (thus saving you even more money!).
It smells delightful: a very sweet nutty and tropical aroma with a hint of coconut, you can also slightly smell the almonds and shea butter. It rinses out with ease and leaves my hair squeaky clean and smooth.
I am very satisfied with the performance of this product. My hair is clean, shiny, and smells great for a fraction of the cost. I certainly recommend it to anyone who loves Suave or to anyone who wants to buy a quality shampoo at a very reasonable price.
