From train rides to concerts to adventure racing, Memorial Day fun is never far away in southeast Texas.

New to Houston this year is an event motorcycle enthusiasts are sure to enjoy.

1. Houston’s 1st Annual South Texas Biker Jam & Expo

What: Demo Rides, Stunt Riders, Leather Fashion Show, Tattoo Competitions and more

Where: Reliant Arena at 8400 Kirby Dr in Houston, TX

When: Saturday and Sunday, May 28th and 29th. Doors open at 10:00.

2. Texas State Railroad Memorial Day Celebration

3. Fredericksburg Crawfish Festival

What: Food, Shopping, Children’s Area, Washer Pitching and more

Where: Fredericksburg’s Downtown Marktplatz

When: Friday thru Sunday, May 27th – May 29th,

Cost: $6 for adults, $1 for kids 12 and under. Two and three day passes available.

($10 starting Saturday at 7:00 p.m.)

4. Memorial Day in the Woodlands

What: Live Music, Fireworks, Balloonists, Face Painting and more

Where: Woodlands’ Waterway Square

When: Saturday and Sunday, May 28th and 29th.

Concerts from 6-9 p.m. each night, and fireworks begin at 8:55 each night

Entertainment line-up: Saturday- August 83 and Alter Ego night. Sunday- Buck Yeager Band and Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
