Synopsis and Review of the Children’s DVD Preschool Fun Starring Thomas & Friends, Barney, and Bob the Builder
Close to 90 minutes of kids-themed TV stars are featured in this video via eight episodes, including two that are considered bonus ones. First, Barney and Friends sees the T-Rex help BJ, Baby Bop, and Riff come to terms with being patient about waiting for an upcoming petting zoo event by helping them appreciate each day beforehand in “Days of the Week.” In “Best Friends,” Thomas the Tank Engine won’t be upfront with his best friend Percy about his getting to transport the brass band to a concert because he originally told Percy that he’d be the one getting the glorious job. In “Sheep on the Road”, Fireman Sam and the fire brigade have to deal with a potential bus tragedy because the town brat Norman allowed a sheep to run loose in the countryside. In the Bob the Builder episode called “Scratch’s Star Turn,” Scratch becomes too concerned with researching his part in a play that he neglects his construction duties that are related to the actual performance in this children’s DVD.
Angelina Ballerina makes an appearance in “Angelina and the Poster.” Angelina and Marco clash on a joint project involving a poster that celebrates their school because they have different artistic interpretations, but must somehow compromise. The little dog Kipper, his friends Pig and Arnold (baby pig) follow after a series of arrows outside, but Pig gets hot in its sweater even though it slowly comes apart in “Pig’s Sweater.” The two bonus episodes feature Roary the Racing Car, which sees the little racer have to go back to driving school because of his reckless driving in “Roary Goes Back to School.” The final show in Preschool Fun comes from the Shaun the Sheep spinoff series called Timmy Time, where the little lamb creates a bit of havoc at his preschool trying to find the missing piece of a jigsaw puzzle in “Timmy’s Jigsaw.”
All these episodes packed together in one video will certainly keep the kids occupied for awhile, and besides the quality animation, little children will once again learn some valuable life lessons, which include patience, being upfront with others, dependability, compromising, and staying safe; and thus, I recommend this children’s animated DVD.
