Russell and Joshua Pearce

Right wing conservative politics, racism, domestic violence, and church power; what do they all have in common? All share the premise of one of racism primary considerations. Power, privilege, and prestige are necessary to live them out with a sense of impunity. One Arizona family lives in the thick of it all and it gets worse.

Russell Pearce is the Arizona State Senate President and architect of the infamous Senate Bill 1070 that provides opportunity for the legal racial and cultural profiling of persons primarily of Mexican and Latin America descent. His work did not stop there. He is now on a mission like ancient Egyptians and Romans to get rid of all the children born undocumented families from Mexico and Latin America. Russell Pearce is incidentally a Mormon Church Leader.

Russell Pearce is on record as a wife beater. He is on record for involvement in the fraudulent behavior of the BCS Fiesta Bowl Committee. He is on record with ties to Neo ‘” Nazi Organization Leader J. T. Ready , incidentally ordained to Mormon Church Leadership by Pearce.

Son Joshua Pearce yields his own share of headlines. Markers on his body indicative of hate group affiliation, 20 incidents with Mesa, Arizona Police, and a domestic violence investigation as one of his children suffers a questionable skull fracture on his watch while he has multiple drugs in his system. Joshua Pearce has been ordered to serve a one year sentence in state prison for violating his probation violation for a 2007 conviction for driving under the influence.

Russell Pearce is the contemporary Great White Hope aspiring for an undefined good ole days when different colored others and women were not a factor in doing business as usual. Fox News is generally known as the standard bearer for these causes which led to the boycotting of some wire services of the mooshfahkay Republican Primary Debate, chief among them, the Associated Press and Reuters .

Michael Calderone of HuffPost Media reported Associated Press made this comment, “These are restrictions that violate basic demands of newsgathering and differ from other debates where more access was granted. Accordingly, the AP will not staff the event in any format nor will the AP disseminate any pool photos taken by another outlet. This is consistent with longstanding policy exercised in coverage of many events. Should access conditions change, the AP will reassess this decision and expedite a new coverage advisory if warranted.”

For now, Citizens of Arizona are organized to recall Pearce from office. Joshua Pearce is in jail. FOX News is on notice that breaking the rules to isolate and protect the usual business of exercising power, privilege, and prestige to the denigration of others is on the slippery slope that will only get worse.
