Part one of the Ice Hotel
We finished the series on the health hazards regarding igloos. Igloos have poor ventilation and a Montreal man was killed when he was inside his recreational igloo and it collapsed on top of him.
However, Montrealers love the outdoors. We are winter babies, so we like everything that is winter – well to a point of course.
Igloos are not the only odd sleeping quarters known to Montrealers; there is also an ice hotel which makes a wonderful vacation to keep the family healthy and help them brave the harsh winters.
Would you want to sleep in an ice hotel? This Montreal examiner things it would be fabulous. Quebec has the first ice hotel in North America and it is a sight to behold. This Montrealer has seen it on TV but would love to go and stay overnight.
If you want to vacation in the ice hotel you can travel directly by train from Montreal to Quebec and sleep on an ice bed and love it!
