Two weeks ago in the morning, Lauren Spierer was last seen by friends leaving an apartment headed home at about 4:30 a.m. The last reported sighting of her was from a friend at the corner of 11TH and College Avenues in Bloomington, Indiana. Someone has to know something about this young woman’s disappearance and her parents and friends are pleading that anyone with any information no matter what it is to come forward and speak up. Lauren’s needs to be found!
Daily searches of the area have come up with few clues as to what happened to the petite college student. Lauren stands 4’11” and weighs between 90-95 pounds and has long blonde hair. She was last seen in a light colored top and black leggings. Her shoes and her cell phone were found at a nearby bar where she had been earlier in the evening. Her key was found later along a sidewalk where she had been seen before her disappearance.
Police are interested inathe owner or driver of a white Chevy Silverado or Colorado, mid 2000’s model that possibly has a company logo on it that was seen on a surveillance tape from a local business in the area about the time of her disappearance. This truck is a four door and possible had something in the back of it. The owner or driver is being asked to come forward with any information as to anything that they might have seen or heard while traveling in the area. The person is not considered a suspect, but could possibly give clues as to what has happened to this young lady.
Lauren suffers from a heart condition where she needs daily medication and with the search for her going on two weeks, the hope is that Lauren is still alive but that she may be very ill. Finding her and getting her medical attention is most important at this stage of the search. Friends and family are extremely worried about her medical condition at this time.
Anyone who has information is requested to call the Bloomington, Indiana police department with any information that they might have. If anyone has information on the truck, they are also asked to call the police department. America’s Most Wanted, the FBI, and a Texas Equine search team are all involved in the case and many volunteers have spent hundreds of hours helping the family in their search for Lauren.
Just a reminder to parents, always know where your small children are and remind your older children to never walk alone at night or never to let their guard down as you never know who is around you. Always carry identification and always tell someone else what your plans are for the day or evening when you are going out.
