It’s that time of year again in the United States, and as usual, Jacksonville Florida is pulling out all of the stops on our Independence Day Celebration.
There are several 4th of July options for you to enjoy this holiday season.
Downtown Jacksonville Florida — 4th of July Fireworks Event
The city of Jacksonville will once again be celebrating our nations birthday with a spectacular fireworks event held over the St. John’s River. If you want to view the nights light magic, take a visit to the St. Johns River — Northbank that stretches for 2 miles and the Southbank. There will also be choreographed music that will correlate with the light show and can be heard from the surrounding river area. The riverfront fireworks will start at 9:45pm, but it never hurts to take your places early, as the time is approximate and the show will last a little over 10 minutes. Jacksonville releases their fireworks from a set of river barges that are located near the Jacksonville Landing and near the Hyatt Hotel Downtown location. There is a special event-parking rate in various locations near these locations. The fee will be $10 for parking in some designated parking areas but the area can still be accessed by public transit and the river taxi. If you can’t bring your own seating or don’t wish to camp out on or in your car for the show, there will be bleacher seating on the provided on the Northbank. (Seating is limited). If more specific event info is required, you should be able to get more details info by calling 904-630-3690.
