Sometime late last month I was resting in front of the news and again Israel was in it. I am really not surprised by this, after all, Israel is given constant attention by the networks here and around the world. But there was something wrong about what I was listening to. The news intimated that Israel was actively persuing violent aggression against Gaza civilians and that the incursions by Israel were out of proportion to the peace-loving peoples of the Palestine region. Although this reporting of conflict activities is hardly new, I did not remember Israel being so active in such manners. After all, were they not called out in 2009 by the United Nations Goldstone Report for their violations of international human rights and the occupation of Palestine and Gaza Strip Regions? And was not Israel condemned for war crimes by Christine Chinkin, one of the commission’s members, in a public letter even before the investigation was initiated (Charen)? Recently, Talab Al-Sana, an Arab Minister said that Jewish extremists are planning to desecrate the Al-Aqsa mosque located on the Temple Mount, although when the police commissioner David Cohen arrived at the site he said “There are large groups of East Jerusalem Arabs there who are being encouraged by the Islamic Movement leaders”(haaretz). Jordan’s Minister of State for Media Affairs, Nabil Sharif even stated that the disruptive actions of Israel were a “flagrant violation of international law and convention.” I am also aware through the news that Israel fired rockets on a UN school killing the innocent civilians that sought shelter there (jewishvertiallibrary). The Middle East news still proceeds with Israel at the center of nastiness, violence, wanton innocent deaths, atrocities, belligerent occupation of Gaza, and war crime violations. Of course the inflicted targets are the peace-loving peoples of Gaza, Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, Syria and the like. Does all this anger me? You bet it does and it should anger you as well.
Such blame for these aggressive behaviors is becoming paramount in the world news and because many are focused upon this part of the world right now I feel obligated to state fact and reason in view of these emotional and reactive accusations. First I truly believe that Israel is a wonderful nation and that Jerusalem is indeed a City of Peace however, Israel and its cities are also the focus of hatred by many that seek to destroy her and the people within. It is with irony that those which claim the most severe treatment and point of aggressive behavior are indeed those that are committing the very crimes they claim are being perpetrated against them. In the Gaza region, their government claims that the Israelis are the occupiers of their land and consistently bombard the Israeli nation with rocketry for this reason. Yet it is fact that Israel evacuated all Jewish citizens and removed its troops in 2005! Palestinians claim that they are under hardship for food, yet when Israel withdrew from that territory, they left greenhouses that would have supplied that region with produce. This gesture was a great incentive to the people except the greenhouses were obliterated and in their place terrorist camps were erected by the very government that claims food depravation.
Food depravation huh . . . after the Israeli disengagement from Palestine in 2005, Israel provided humanitarian aid from 2005-2007 to include medical, food, building material and fuel. Also in 2005, the television network France 2 broadcast a story allegedly showing dead children laid out on a sheet after they had been killed during a conflict in Gaza by Israeli’s. What was not corrected is that the video was done by an armature, filming the dead children that had been killed by the explosion in September of 2005 of a Hamas ammunition truck during a Gaza parade. Meanwhile, during this period from 2005-2007, Israel received 1,908 Caesium rockets for their trouble. The news organizations of course blamed Israel instead of the true government of Hamas for their destructive launchings and fabrications of humanitarian nonexistent crimes (Jewishvirtuallibrary). These issues do not end here. In 2009 reports surfaced that Israel had fired upon a UN school killing 30 Palestinians seeking protective shelter there. Israeli investigations related to the news organizations that the targeting of that particular location was as a result of plotting the launch site of Hamas mortar attacks. The UN played down the Israeli version, omitted the facts and left the world with an image of Israeli barbarism. Silence is the news concerning Hamas, Iran, Syria and other Middle Eastern procedures where innocents are always placed around rocket launch sites that are within hospitals, elementary schools, market squares and the like.
From 2001-2011 there have been eleven rocket attacks into Israel. The greatest launches were in the years of 2005-2008 with: 1,255, 1,177, 2,807, 3,716 respectively (wikipedia.org). Let us not forget that Hamas is a puppet and proxy for Iran. During the year of 2010, Iran bootlegged into Gaza 1,000 mortar shells and hundreds of rockets. It would appear, to the most casual of observers, that Gaza and the Palestinians are turning the region into an arms depot for future assaults on the Jewish nation (wikipedia.org). As to the proportionality of the devastating launches, at least 34% have been from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, 22% from Hamas, 30% from the Popular Resistance Committees and the rest unknown. And this was statistical information as of 2007!
So there is plenty of evidence each day from the Middle East on the endless Arial bombardment from Israel targeting the helpless and peace-loving peoples of Palestine, Iran, Lebanon and Syria. Some day however, the peace-loving Arabs in the region will confront their doctrines of Jewish extermination and the procedures of locating terrorist rocket and mortar launching centers where innocent deaths may be exploited to the maximum for world news. However, there is a force that they cannot dupe, cannot hide their lies and will never escape from. Middle Eastern media will always be able to dupe the western powers but the last laugh in that region of Arab brutality, evil and desolation will be from a world that is invisible to us. For myself, I just say: “God Bless Israel” and will suppoirt them however i can.
