Jennifer Lopez is a beautiful woman, but I’m not sure if she’s the most beautiful woman in the world. She looks great for her age . . . amazing actually. Without makeup and her hair done up, she would just be okay and reasonably attractive. With the right makeup, styling and lighting, most women have the potential to be beautiful.
What makes Jennifer Lopez stand out is her ability to shine. She has a great vibe and personality and I’ve always loved her ambition and honesty. She also takes very good care of herself and it shows. She has a great laugh and smile and an almost tangible passion for whatever she jumps into; that is beautiful in itself.
The funny thing about Jennifer Lopez is that she is not absolutely brilliant at anything she does, but she does it brilliantly. Her singing and dancing are okay and she’s entertaining to watch. Her acting has been really good (Selena) and it’s also been really bad and shallow. Her clothing and perfume lines are pretty good; not exceptional, but good. My point is that she is what my father used to call, “a jack of all trades and master of none”. She masters nothing, but succeeds at everything. You’ve gotta love this chick!
She’s also really likable as a person. Men like her because she’s real, charming, pretty and she has a great body. Women like her because she’s approachable. She’s still Jenny from the block; that chick you could hang out with and just kick back. She has a quick laugh, a laid-back personality and she’s funny. That is what makes her beautiful. Some say that she comes off like a diva, but I think she comes off real and acts no differently than any of us would act in her position.
Jennifer Lopez also seems to be succeeding on a personal level. Her marriage to Mark Anthony seems solid. They seem very supportive of each other. When you see him, you see her and vice versa. They seem happy together, but not that fawning kind of happiness like most Hollywood couples. They seem like any other couple and they seem like friends as well as husband and wife. Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have that same vibe and so do Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. It’s difficult to explain, but everybody loves love and in Hollywood, where everybody changes spouses like they change their underwear, it’s nice to see couples that seem to be lovers and friends and probably would be without money and fame.
An example of the opposite of JLo’s charm is Gwyneth Paltrow. She is beautiful and successful and great at anything she does, but she is unliked by the general populous. Gwyneth Paltrow is the antithesis of Jennifer Lopez. It has nothing to do with her talent or achievements, but she seems unapproachable and comes off haughty, even if she does not mean to. She has this persona or facade as if success was her inherent right. Well, maybe it was, but while she may be the most humble person on earth, she gives off an essence of something less than humble.
Jennifer Lopez is not humble either, but there is something inside of her that says to the world, “Hey, this is me and I’m just like you and if I can make it, so can you.” Gwyneth Paltrow’s aura just screams, “I’m better than you!”
Therein lays the beauty of Jennifer Lopez. While not truly the most physically beautiful woman on earth, she not only looks good in an approachable way, but she makes people feel good.
