Are you looking to visit the city of Baltimore? Then of course you will need a place to stay. How about the Hyatt Regency Baltimore? Many people choose to stay at the Hyatt when they come to Baltimore. I have done occasional child care work there (with a company called Kiddie Corp), and this is (in my opinion) a nice hotel. But to help you make your own decision on whether or not you want to stay there, here is a little information on the Hyatt Regency Baltimore.
The Hyatt Regency Baltimore is located at 300 Light Street, Baltimore, MD 21202. This hotel has fourteen floors with 488 guestrooms. The rates of the rooms range from $199 to $399. Children under the age of 18 years old can stay free if they are staying in their parent’s room. This is a great way to save a little money on the hotel stay! The check-in time is 4:00pm and the check-out time is at 12:00pm.
When you walk in, you will be greeted by a nice, large lobby. The lobby has check in-desks, escalators, staircases, and elevators. The elevator ride can actually be a bit fun, as the elevators have windows that look right out into the Inner Harbor and downtown areas (which is something I personally love)! What a nice view! This is especially nice if you are taking that long elevator ride up to the fourteenth floor!
The 488 guestrooms all have nice and convenient amenities and services for guests to enjoy. When you stay at a hotel, you are staying away from the comfort of your own home. But the Hyatt has room services that will make you feel right at home! Relax in your comfortable grand plush bed and watch a little cable or satellite TV and videos on demand on your 32″ flat screen TV! Check your email, social networking websites, and your other favorite websites using the Wi-Fi Internet access. Keep in touch with your loved ones back at home with the dual line phones and speakerphone. Are you bringing extra guests or a child? You can request a rollaway bed or crib. However, you can only have four guests to a room. Other services and amenities in the guestrooms include an in-room safe, a minibar, coffee maker, individual heat control, and much more!
In addition to the guestroom amenities and services, the Hyatt Regency Baltimore itself has services, amenities, and activities for guests. This is not including the check in-desks, escalators, staircases, and elevators. When you get to the hotel, you have the option of self-parking and valet parking! You can buy something for yourself or a loved one at the hotel gift shop. Do you want to eat without going out? This hotel has it’s own restaurants and eateries! The Bistro 300 or the Bistro 300 Lounge are both located right in the Hyatt. On the Atrium of the Hyatt (which is on the 2nd floor), you can check out the Perks for breakfast (which is from 6:30am until 11:00am). This include breakfast and Starbucks coffee! You can relax and stay fit at the seasonal outdoor pool and sundeck, as well as the StayFit gym! Don’t forget to check out the recreation deck and indoor pool. There are also spaces in the hotel to hold meetings.
If you feel like going out for the day (or night), then there are plenty of nearby locations to check out. Catch a show at the 1st Mariner Arena and or the Hippodrome Theater. You can also catch a movie at the Harbor East Theater. Attend a convention, trade show, or meeting at the Baltimore Convention Center. Maybe you’re in town for a sporting event. You can watch a Ravens football game at the M&T Bank Stadium and a Orioles baseball game at Camden Yards. Fun museums and attractions include the Maryland Science Center, National Aquarium in Baltimore, and the Port Discovery Children’s Museum. If you enjoy shopping and dining out, the Harborplace Gallery and Pavilions are all located right across the street from the Hyatt Regency Baltimore. This hotel has two skywalks, one that connects to the Harborplace Light Street Pavilion and one that connects to the Baltimore Convention Center. You can find a Best Buy and Barnes and Noble within walking distance of the hotel. There are MTA bus stops, Charm City Circulator bus stops, cab stands (and cabs to flag down), and parking garages (with a fee) located through out the Inner Harbor and downtown areas.
So if you are looking for a nice hotel to stay at with great nearby locations, then check out the Hyatt Regency Baltimore!
