The annual BOOMTOWN Festival is a community celebration of the arts featuring live music, dance performances, visual arts and activities for kids. The second part of the festival will span from July 18th through July 21st and will include many scheduled activities for both adults and children, including outdoor concerts, walking tours, dance workshops and more. Free Puppet Show in the North End

The Somerville Community Growing Center presents a reception to celebrate their new book Our Garden Nature Guide- Nuestra gu­a de la naturaleza del jard­n, which features artwork by children in the Arts in the Garden program and text by the Children in Nature Initiative. The reception will include a reading in both English and Spanish and will be followed by a walk to the Growing Center garden for a scavenger hunt.

At 5:15pm will be Monkeyhouse: Jump In, an audience-interactive dance performance and at 6pm, the Duppy Conquerors will sing the reggae music of Bob Marley. The event is free and open to the public.
