The ingredients you will need to make the homemade aloe clay facial mask are ½ cup of organic aloe gel, ¾ cup of organic English clay powder, 10 drops of essential tea tree oil, ¼ teaspoon of vitamin E oil, 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of freshly brewed chamomile tea. If you do not have any of these ingredients on hand, you should be able to find them in your local grocery store and herbal store.
The way you make the homemade aloe clay facial mask is by pouring the ½ cup of organic aloe gel, ¾ cup of organic English clay powder, 10 drops of essential tea tree oil, ¼ teaspoon of vitamin E oil, 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of freshly brewed chamomile tea into a small mixing bowl. Then what you do is take a wire whisk and combine the ingredients together until you get a thick dark smooth creamy facial mask with a strong earthy aroma. If you find the mask is to running add another teaspoon of the clay powder, and if you find the mask is too thick add a teaspoon more of the chamomile tea. You want the mask to have a consistency that will be easy to apply, but will also stick and stay on your face for a long period.
Now once you have the homemade aloe clay facial mask all made up it is time to apply it to your face, but before you do, it is important to wash your face with your daily facial cleanser. Once your face is clean take a large handful of the mask and apply thick even layers onto you skin with your fingers. The mask will either feel soothing and nourishing. If you feel any tingling or a slight burning sensation, which is okay because it just means the mask is working. However, if you feel like your skin is swelling wash the mask off right away because you are probably having and allergic reactions, but this rarely happens. Once you have the facial mask on your face in a nice thick layer, it is best to leave it on for 30 minutes or longer. The reason why it is best to keep the mask on as long as you is because it will help get down into the pores deeper. The deeper the mask goes the more ability it has to pull up all the junk from the pores that are causing the acne, blemishes, blackheads and large pores. After you have had enough wearing the facial mask rinse it off with warm water and pat your skin dry with a towel. After you remove the mask, you should notice less redness and dullness in your skin. You skin should look bright, firm and toned in appearance and it should feel soft and smooth in texture. You should even notice your pores, blemishes and acne sores are smaller.
