Friday April 22 marks Earth Day 2011. It happens to fall on the same date as Good Friday for 2011. The Bay Area Peninsula comes to life hosting events, awareness programs, and live entertainment with the emphasis being on our environment, green living, conservation of resources, and our impacts on daily consumptions. Come celebrate Earth Day in the South Bay at one of the following locations.
Earth Day San Jose – the 30th annual celebration of Earth Day

This year’s theme is “New Energy, New Beginnings”. This event is an environmental EXPO featuring hands-on interactive presentations on innovative technological solutions by Eco-minded entertainers, environmentalists, and educators. Enjoy live music, dance, photography, and organic foods.
Earth Day Tree Planting – Menlo Park

Where: Ravenswood Salt Ponds in Menlo Park
Join Save the Bay for a tree planting event celebrating Earth Day by restoring former salt ponds, removing invasive species, and helping to cleanup our shoreline.
Greenlight Film Festival – Palo Alto

Organic Wine Trail: An Earth Day Tour
