If you are looking for a great day trip or family vacation then look no further than Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. Imagine spending your days filled with Bungee Jumping, zip lining, hiking, or riding a giant swing. Think of the cool points you will receive from your children.
Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. It’s located between Vail and Aspen. Getting to the park requires taking a ride on a Gondolier Tram since cars are not allowed in the park.
Admission to the park starts at $12 for adults and $8 for children. This price does not include the rides. They can be purchased separately or you can get a day pass. If you intend to go on lots of rides, the day pass is the better value starting at $42 per day.
Amazingly the day pass includes the new 625 foot Soaring Eagle Zip line. The 70 foot bungee jump costs an additional $20.
Thrill Ride Attractions
Alpine Coaster: This is the first Alpine first Alpine Coaster in the United States. You are pulled up 1,000 feet to start your journey downward. You will then whip and zip your way down 3400 feet.
Giant Canyon Swing: This is definitely not a normal swing. You swing back and forth over the the Glenwood Canyon. Did we mention it’s 1300 feet over the Colorado River?
Soaring Eagle Zip Line: The is the park’s newest thrill ride. The great part of this ride is that it is seated. You zip 625 feet down the mountain.
Bungee Jump: Nothing gets the heart pumping like a good 70 foot jump off a deck defying gravity (partially), and testing your limits.
4D Motion Theater: Experience being in a movie as your chair moves along with the movie. Add to that the atmosphere the theater creates by splashing you with snow as you sled down the mountain without ever leaving your chair.
Bungee Trampoline: For those who want a little less heart action, but tons of fun, the Bungee Trampoline is a great option. Tied to bungees, each bounce takes you higher and higher.
Mechanical Bull: Everyone likes to think they could ride a bull, well here’s the chance to prove it. The great part is they have a variety of speeds so fun can be had by all.
Laser Tag (Western Style): Who hasn’t wanted to play a cowboy? This is a different spin on it with the laser tag, but with a western theme.
32 foot Climbing Wall: Sure there are mountains around to climb, but sometimes we need a little bit more control, so happy climbing.
Cave Tours and Wild Tour: If you have ever been interested in exploring caves, then taking one of the tours is a great way to do that. Be forewarned the Wild Tour is extreme caving with you crawling on your stomach and knees in sometimes really tiny spaces 18 inches wide.
The tours are not included in the day pass, but can be added for $5. The Wild Tour requires reservations, so plan ahead if you would like to go on that one.
Tips and Warnings
Not all attractions are open all the time. Much of it depends on the weather.
