June 17* – Middle Earth Ensemble – Concerts on the Green – 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Prescott Promenade – 200 Main Street – Downtown El Cajon, CA
Middle Earth Ensemble plays a variety of Middle Eastern fusion music, including Persian, Turkish, Arabic and Egyptian. In addition to their music you can also enjoy their authentic belly-dancing performances. Come enjoy the violin, bass, sax and flute, all keeping beat with the doumbek, a Middle Eastern goblet-shaped drum. June 28* – Graceland, An Elvis Presley Tribute – Twilight in the Park Summer Concert Series – 6:15 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. – Spreckels Organ Pavilion, Balboa Park – 1549 El Prado – San Diego, CA
Graceland is perhaps the premier Elvis Tribute band in the San Diego area and puts on a great show that people of all ages will love. Their repertoire includes nearly 50 Elvis hits that you’re sure to recognize. It will be hard to sit still during their dynamic performance that takes you back to the good ole days with the King of Rock and Roll. Seating is available but you may also bring a blanket and food. June 30* – The Corvettes – Santee Summer Concert Series – 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Town Center Community Park East – 550 Park Center Drive – Santee, CA
The Corvettes are an awesome show band playing well-known hits from the 50s and 60s. Their keyboard player, Joe Witkin, played keyboard for the original Sha Na Na, and performed at Woodstock in 1969. This group puts on a fantastic show ranging from street corner doo-wap to Motown rock and roll. Complete with costumes and comedy, their show is fun for all ages. This venue offers a picnic-style environment, so pack the picnic basket, grab a blanket and head on over to Santee for a great evening of entertainment.
