People have been giving normal cards to others for centuries. Greeting cards, birthday cards, holiday cards, get well soon cards, etc. are cards that can be used for many occasions. With technology, it is now possible to send someone cards over the Internet; they are called e-cards. People now have two choices of cards to send loved ones, and many of them wonder which one is better. Here is a list of the pros and cons to both kinds of cards.
E-cards are fairly new, but have quickly gained popularity.
They are quick – You can send an e-card to anyone who has an email address. They are delivered instantly.
They are cheap – You can purchase e-cards fairly cheap. You can use payment methods like paypal to purchase e-cards.

They are impersonal – You don’t get the personal feelings that you do with regular cards. E-cards can seem a little cold and distant.
They are not tangible – Some people love to save their cards. E-cards can be printed, but they do not have that regular card “feel.”
You can easily lose them – This may sound weird since they are not tangible, but e-cards can be lost in the digital world. If you have to download an e-card to your computer, the risk of losing the file or deleting the file becomes greater.
Regular cards have been used for centuries and have an established popularity. Many people appreciate the thoughtfulness of a card no matter the occasion,
They are personal – Personally giving a card to somebody is sometimes more thoughtful than the card itself.
They are high-quality – Cards that are sold in stores have to be published. Because of this, many cards are unique in its message, 100 percent correct in grammar and has been picked out of a pool with millions of other card ideas.
They are attractive – There is something about a normal card that is attractive. It may be its smell, feel or layout.
Easily destroyed – Because normal cards are tangible, they can easily get destroyed. Water, weather and pets are just some ways that normal cards can get ruined.
They are easily lost – It is very easy to misplace cards. It may be easy to delete an e-card off your hard-drive, but at least your computer keeps all your files neat and organized.
They may be hard to find – It can be hard to find a card truly expresses how you feel.
These are some pros and cons to both kinds of cards. There really is no right or wrong kind of card. It all depends on the preference of both the sender and the receiver. Keep these considerations in mind when you are choosing what kind of card to send.
