There is no excuse for celebrities to drive drunk. Celebs like Mel Gibson and Britney Spears can afford limo drivers and cabs. Stop being so prideful. If you want to go out to an L.A. hot spot and get drunk, hire a driver for the night. Even if you don’t have intentions of getting drunk, take a limo anyway. People make mistakes, but come on this is just common sense. Even Charlie Sheen has enough sense not to drive drunk. If Charlie wants to travel while high or drunk he has someone drive him. Lets take a look at some DUI celebrities.
Former Buccaneers quarterback was arrested in January 2011. King refused to take a blood alcohol test, so he was arrested. The next day he posted $500 bail. Refusing an alcohol test is saying you’re drunk, plain and simple.
In January 2011, Santa Monica cops pulled Pressly over around 11 p.m. for a mild traffic violation. Jaime blew a .22 on the sobriety test, which is three times above the legal limit. Pressley was released on $15,000 bail. Surely an Emmy award-winning actress can afford a driver.
Former “Inside Edition” correspondent Rolonda Watts was busted in Hollywood in early March on suspicion of DUI. Watts was released on $15,000 bail. She currently hosts Internet talk show, “A Brave Hear TView.”
Gary Collins was busted for DUI in 2002, 2007, and 2009. In November 2010, Collins was suspected in a hit and run. There’s no confirmation whether alcohol was involved, but the victim’s husband claims that he smelled alcohol on Collins’s breath before he left the scene.
Seattle Mariner’s Adam Kennedy was arrested for drunk driving in January 2011. California Highway Patrol pulled Kennedy over around 9 p.m. Officers turned the baseball player over to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. Adam was released at 6 a.m. the next morning.
Oakland A’s outfielder Coco Crisp was pulled over by Arizona cops because Crisp couldn’t keep his Rolls Royce in one lane. Coco performed a sobriety test and failed. Crisp was arrested for DUI without giving the cops trouble.
“Partridge Family” actor David Cassidy was busted in Florida in November 2010 for a DUI. Florida Highway Patrol noticed Cassidy’s Mercedes swaying on and off the road. Cassidy blew 0.141 on a breathalyzer test. The legal limit is 0.08. Cassidy was arrested and released the next morning on a $350 bond.
Lisa Robin Kelly
“That 70’s Show” star Lisa Robin Kelly was arrested in North Carolina for DUI in August 2010. She pleaded guilty in December 2010 of DUI. She received 12 months of unsupervised probation.
