Disneyworld Deluxe Resort Rooms: Wilderness Lodge

by mud mosh

In my recent series focusing on Disneyworld resort rooms and how to pick the best room for your Disney dollar, I have given you explanations and pointers for both Value and Moderate Resorts. Now, we move on the the Disney Deluxe Resorts. These resorts are more unique than either the Value or Moderate resorts and have varied room choices and descriptions. No two resorts are alike! So, for the Deluxe Resort category, I will focus on each resort separately. These posts will give you all the details to choose the room that will make your trip perfect! Up first: Disney‘‹Å”s Wilderness Lodge.

Disney‘‹Å”s Wilderness Lodge offers seven categories of rooms from the basic Standard View to the Deluxe Club Level. Here’s what you need to know to choose:

Standard View

These rooms all have two, queen-sized beds and sleep a maximum of four people. Standard View at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is always a view of the parking lot or service area.

Woods View

Same room layout as the Standard View but you will have a view of the woodlands or the Villas at Disney‘‹Å”s Wilderness Lodge.

Courtyard View

Again, same layout but the view is much better. You will have a view of the courtyard of The Villas at Disney‘‹Å”s Wilderness Lodge, a pool, waterfall or the lake.

Bunk Bed Rooms

Great for families! These rooms have one queen-size bed and a set of bunk beds. These rooms are available with either a Woods View or Courtyard View and sleep four people.

Club Level

Club Level Rooms offer special services such as: advanced Walt Disney World Resort Itinerary Planning service, personalized Front Desk and Concierge service, evening turndown service with chocolates, secured key access to Club Level floors, exclusive access to Club Level Lounge with coffee, tea, beer, continental breakfast, midday snacks, evening wine and cheese and evening cordials and dessert, complimentary Health Club access, weekday newspaper delivery of USA Today, complimentary fax assistance. The rooms come with a premium price so you must decide how much these services are worth to you.

Standard Club Level

These rooms come with one queen-size bed and one bunk bed, 2 queen-size beds or one king-size bed and all the Club Level amenities. You will have a view of woodlands, the courtyard of The Villas at Disney‘‹Å”s Wilderness Lodge or the courtyard of Disney‘‹Å”s Wilderness Lodge.

Deluxe Club Level

These rooms all offer 2 queen-size beds and one queen-size sleeper sofa, table and chairs, private balcony or patio, and sleep six. The Deluxe Rooms have a sitting area separated from the bedroom by French doors, refrigerator, coffeemaker and additional television. Deluxe Rooms are located on the first 6 floors and offer a view of Bay Lake, woodlands or interior courtyard areas of Disney‘‹Å”s Wilderness Lodge.

Tips and Tricks

Want to get the best room in your chosen category? Here are some hints to help:

Woods View Rooms ‘” request a room on the 6th floor. 6604 to 6030 have a great view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

Courtyard View Rooms ‘” request a room with a view of Silver Creek Falls. Beautiful! You will also likely have a partial view of the lake where you can watch the Electric Water Pageant!

No matter what room you choose, Disney‘‹Å”s Wilderness Lodge is an excellent Deluxe Resort choice. It’s location is close to the Magic Kingdom and it is one of the least expensive Deluxe Resorts. Give it a try!
