What is it? What does it do?
CoverGirl has made a new formula that advertises*: 16 hours of lasting color — “through breakfast, lunch, and dinner”; food, kiss, and workout proof; moisturizing topcoat keeps lips feeling smooth; no feathering, and no bleeding. It also comes in a small box with two tubes: 2.3ml (.07 fl oz.) of All-Day Colorcoat (available in 41 colors) and 1.9g (.06 fl oz.) of Moisturizing Topcoat.

How does it work?
First, apply the All-Day Colorcoat to your lips. Do not press your lips together. Second, let it dry for 60 seconds.
Third, apply moisturizing topcoat. Then, apply the topcoat throughout the day to refresh your look and feel. To remove Outlast, use CoverGirl Clean Make-up remover for eyes and lips, baby oil, or petroleum jelly.
Why did I buy it?
I am constantly applying for jobs. How I present myself at interviews is important and I do not need to worry about my lipstick fading. I would also like to find a lipstick that does not rub off when I play my flute at concerts.
Outlast is very easy to use — it does not require days of practicing to apply it correctly. It also keeps its promises of keeping lips feeling smooth, hydrated, and looking glossy. There is no feathering or bleeding. The color comes out bold and feels smooth. The color will last at least 4+ hours if you do not eat and are diligent with reapplying the moisturizing topcoat, which feels like you are only wearing lipgloss. Another advantage is that it has no scent.
However, there are more negative sides to this product. Does not last 16 hours. It lasts at least 2 – 4 hours if you eat or drink. My tip is to reapply the topcoat right before you eat or drink, so less color is removed. You must remember to apply the topcoat constantly so the color does not flake or disappear. When the color disappears, you cannot touch it up or put on another layer of Colorcoat. You must re-apply everything or your lips will become lumpy and flaky. In order to re-apply everything again, you must remove the Outlast, with a good make-up remover, baby oil, or petroleum jelly on hand. Rubbing it off with warm water takes a long time and will leave your lips feeling raw.
Outlast is unreliable for 24-hour wear, however if I were preparing for an interview, or any other function where I know I will not be eating or drinking, this is the perfect product. Try it out for yourself!
