Cooking: A Boon to Singles

by mud mosh

Singles have fallen out of love with cooking. This a terrible tragedy as many settle for bland, tasteless, and overly-convenient vittles. This madness can be avoided if singles would learn to cook for themselves.

If nothing else, young folks should learn to cook in case of the apocalypse. I can imagine no fate more horrible than eating cold food out of a can as the world crumbles around you. This pain can be avoided if simple cooking skills are learned. These skills can help transform a few cans of food into a sumptuous feast fit for a king.

Of course, the most important reason for singles to learn how to cook is to impress other singles. Nothing says you’ve made it better than preparing a home cooked meal. The stomach is truly the way to a man’s (Or woman’s) heart. Giving them a homemade treat, or preparing them a home-cooked meal is a surefire way to worm your way into their affections.

Cooking for yourself can also save a lot of money. Many singles spend a lot of dough ordering in or going out to eat multiple times a week. Those who cook for themselves can eat well and a much lower price than those who don’t prepare their own meals. Frozen chicken, rice, lentils, potatoes, assorted vegetables, and a myriad of other foods make eating well both affordable and delicious.

Homemade food often tastes much better than freezer food or fast food. Maybe it’s the love, but I believe it is the high quality ingredients that make the food more scrumptious. There is no need for singles to short-change themselves by eating inferior culinary creations. With the right know how, the humblest of cooks can eat like a fat cat.

Cooking can also be a lot of fun! There’s nothing quite as satisfying as eating a meal you have just cooked yourself. Experimenting can also be a delight, especially when something truly divine is created. Potlucks, picnics and dinner parties are all available to those who cook. These are especially important to singles, as they can give them a chance at finding a date. If a single tries showing up to a dinner party with a store-bought pail of potato salad they’ll be lucky to escape with their dignity, yet alone their life.

Many singles are afraid of cooking because its seems daunting and dangerous. Because of these feelings, they never pick up cooking. While preparing meals (And using knives) recklessly can be dangerous, learning a few safety guidelines and tips can making learning to cook safely a breeze. There are many resources available, such as cooking instructors, online tips, and culinary classes that can make learning to cook safely and well available to anyone.

As long as singles are willing to put themselves out there and learn, they will surprised at how easy and fun learning to cook truly is! And they will thankful for the for all the benefits cooking for themselves provides: saving money, finding a date, having fun, and being self-sufficient.
