This week I found a product that I had purchased a couple of months ago, and hadn’t used. It is Covergirl Outlast All-Day Lipcolor. The color I chose is 603, Smoky Mauve.
It comes in a box, and through the opening in the front, you can see that there are 2 products. The packaging is blue and silver, and looking in the front, you can see the color you are buying. It also has a label with the color on it too.
I turned the box over to read about the products, and the writing on the side, and back of the box is too small to read. I had my progressive bifocals on, and also a magnifying glass, and still couldn’t read it.
The 2 tubes of Covergirl Outlast Lipcolor are navy blue, with the bottom part of the color one being clear, so you can see the color. I turned them over and the one containing color has 1 on the bottom of it, and the topcoat has the number 2.
I opened up the Smoky Mauve Lipcolor, and expected to see a lipstick type product, instead it had a sponge type brush. When I pulled it out there was lots of color on it. I applied it to my top top, and had a little too much, so I put some on the bottom lip too. There wasn’t quite enough to cover it, so I pushed the sponge back in, and lots came out again. I tried to get some off, and it ended up on the side of the container it was in. I made sure it went completely over my lips.
I figured it had to dry, so left it a couple of minutes, and then touched it. My lips felt really dry, but had the color on them. I tried to rub it, to see if it would come off, and it didn’t. I then opened up the number 2 tube, and this was just like a lipstick. You turned the bottom, and the angled moisturizing topcoat came up. It looked just like a lip balm, or hard Vaseline. I applied it to my lips, and they immediately became moist.
My lips looked good, and had color, and a lovely shine to them.
The gloss, or topcoat came off when I drank, ate, and rubbed it off on purpose, but the color stayed. My lips felt dry once it had gone. I applied the topcoat again, and they were immediately shiny, and hydrated.
I really like the Covergirl Outlast Lipcolor.
This is what I found on their website:
“The #1 original long-wear lip color! Our advanced formula with resilient, brilliant coverage, color, and shine gives you up to 16 hours of color that stays true, in just 2 easy, breezy steps. Outlast has a moisturizing topcoat that helps lock in shine ‘” no feathering, no bleeding.
Food, kiss, and workout proof
Moisturizing topcoat keeps lips feeling smooth”
The color really does last 16 hours. When I woke up the following morning I could still see a tiny bit of the color. So if you are looking for a lipcolor that doesn’t need reapplying after every drink, or meal, then this could be the one for you. I like the fact that I can add the topcoat without a mirror, and know that I have color, shine, and moisture.
Procter & Gamble,
I didn’t know until now, that it was distributed from jolly old England, my original home.
