For any person who makes excuses for not eating healthy because it takes too long to prepare– well it is unjustified by Cedarlane’s natural and frozen foods. Cedarlane offers a wide variety of frozen foods that are healthy, easy to prepare and all natural. The Beans, Rice & Cheese Style Burrito is no different. This vegetarian burrito made with organic tortilla, beans and rice is low fat with no cholesterol or trans fat.
The burrito is filled with organic pinto beans, organic brown rice, soy cheddar cheese, green chillies, onion, herds and spices, tamari, and cilantro. The filling has a bit of a spicy kick, while still tasting natural and delicious. This is a great meal for a vegetarian.

Not only is the burrito all natural and organic, but it is also quite easy to make. The easiest way to heat the burrito is by taking off the packaging, wrapping it in a paper towel and heating it for 2 minutes in the microwave. Although this is delicious still, the best way to heat the burrito, for a better textured burrito, is the oven. The microwave makes the tortilla a bit flimsy and soggy, while you get a much more full and crunchy tortilla when using the oven. The oven should be pre-heated to 350 degrees and wrapped in foil. Then, cooking takes only 25 to 30 minutes.
This is a great meal for anyone trying to lose weight or counting calories. Being that the burrito is only 260 calories, you may want to also add a small salad to complete the meal. I usually eat my burrito with a side of cucumbers and ranch dressing, and am left full and satisfied.
The best part of the burrito is definitely the filling. The beans, rice and vegetables are chopped into very fine pieces, and the cheese is melted perfectly. It also holds up well, without falling apart while eating– which is rare for a burrito!
