Stanley’s Greenhouse and Plants
3029 Davenport Road, Knoxville, TN 37920
Stanley’s Greenhouse is located 5 minutes from South Knoxville. They are a three generation family owned business. They keep tradition alive on land that was once called Davenport Farms. The first green house was built in 1955. Stanley’s Greenhouse Plant Farm now has over 190,000 square feet with the addition of a 36,000 square foot retail center that opened in 2001. At Stanley’s they have no sales tax on their plants. They offer a beautiful selection of gardening gifts and accessories, tools, furniture, garden décor, gifts for children, rugs, lawn ornaments and so much more to choose from.
With each new season Stanley’s offers the newest plants to East Tennessee, considering they grow the plants on location makes this possible and helps reduce their carbon footprint by not having to ship the plants. When it comes to roses, Stanley’s has nearly 1,000 roses on site with 60 different varieties for you to choose from listed on their website. They offer perennials and have tons of seeds and bulbs to give your garden the right start. One flower in particular has caught the attention of my wife, a delicate white daffodil with a mint green cup called the Misty Glen. Considering her skills with gardening I will be the one who has to plant it. She has an eye for beauty, but definitely the black thumb of the family. Each year they try to expand the selection of trees and shrubs. So far they’ve accumulated a vast assortment this season. In addition, Stanley’s has house plants, vegetables, and herbs to add to the mix. Friend them onFacebook
2001 Newport Hwy, Sevierville, TN 37876
Hillbilly Landscaping is actually only minutes away from my home, making it a convenient location for me and locals off highway 411 to shop. They have a nice selection of seasonal plants and decorations to choose from including trees and shrubs. You can also get straw, potting and topsoil or seeding. Hillbilly Landscaping has pea gravel, mulch and dirt that they will gladly dump into the back of your truck by the scoop, or deliver by dump truck for a pretty fair rate. You can find mushroom compost and hardwood mulch here as well. They have commercial and residential design and installation, so if you’re not a gardener they can help. Hillbilly Landscaping is licensed and insured, which is comforting when choosing a greenhouse to buy from.
