Bath and Body Works Foaming Hand Soap: Kitchen Spice and Country Apple

I like Bath & Body Works products. Their lotions and soaps are quality products available in a plethora of scents. Although most times the scents are intoxicating and delicious, sometimes they are not so great. There are often great sales at their website as well. Read my review of the Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soaps in the Kitchen Spice and Country Apple varieties.

Foaming Hand Soap: Product Packaging and Appearance

The Bath and Body Works Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soaps come in 8.75 fluid ounce (259 mL) plastic pump containers. The soap is very liquidy and almost watery looking in composition, however, when it passes through the pump it integrates air into the soap and foams up to provide a substantial amount of soap while using little of the actual product. The soap easily coats your hands as you rub them together to create suds. The scent is very noticeable and pleasant as you wash your hands and the soap rinses off with ease. Hands feel very cleansed and soothed.

Bath and Body Works Foaming Soap: Price and Performance

The normal price of the soap at the Bath & Body Works website is $5.00, which is very fair because with daily use this soap lasts weeks and weeks in my home. Currently at the website you can purchase multiple hand soaps for a discount: 4 soaps for $15 or 6 soaps for $20. Of course, buying online means you need to pay shipping prices, but they are reasonable, in my opinion. I often find coupons online for free products or discounts at this store. For example, I received 10% off my purchase of $30 or more from doing a simple search online. This often equates to free shipping, so buying products all at once with their online discount and applying an additional coupon code means big savings.

The soaps work very well for me and last a long time, as stated above. They are made with aloe vera, vitamin B5, coconut milk, olive fruit extracts, mango fruit extract, and honey, which are all supposed to help moisturize, nourish, soften and cleanse the skin. These soaps lather well and rinse with ease to leave hands feeling clean and soft. I don’t care for the use of honey, but these are premium products that I love and not tested on animals.

Kitchen Spice Scent

The color of this soap in the container is a very light beige shade. The Kitchen Spice scent of Bath and Body Works Foaming Hand Soap is described on the website as having an aroma of “a decadent mixture of nutmeg, allspice and caramel.”

I do detect small hints of spices in this soap, but this aroma is certainly not one of my favorites. The scent reminds me of cheap dish detergent. There is nothing appealing about this scent to me. While it doesn’t smell awful and it has a light and fresh scent, it’s not something I prefer and I will not be buying this variety again.

Country Apple Scent

In the container this soap is a bright pinkish red color. The country apple scent is described to be “a fresh combination of ripe, red apples and creamy blossoms, reminiscent of an orchard in springtime.”

This soap smells absolutely good enough to eat! It smells of fresh, juicy apples. The scent is strong when washing but not overpowering. I love this scent and would certainly recommend it to anyone who loves the rich fragrance of apples. I does smell exactly as it is explained: as though you are walking through a bountiful apple orchard.
