The Bible has long been an inspirational work where people can look for guidance. Many famous people have looked to the Bible for inspiration. Here is what some of them have said. You can find these, and more at http://heavenboundgb.worthyofpraise.org/4509/ .

And, while the Bible has been the source of inspiration for many people, not all of us have the time, nor the tendency, to read it. Here are some of my favorite verses and how they help me make it through the day.

Combine this verse with Abraham Lincoln’s statement that the Bible finds you where you are and you will see why it is one of my favorite verses. This has been a tough economy. No surprises there. God tells me through this verse that he will care for me. He doesn’t put any stipulations with it. He simply says that He has a plan for me. Some days, I wish he would tell me the plan, but I guess that it where faith comes in.

Psalm 34:19 A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all;

I have troubles. I have trouble being a righteous man. If I try to work on all my troubles, I will go crazy. This verse tells me that I just have to work on one thing. Being righteous. The good news here is that God does not expect perfection, He expects effort. So, I can work on being righteous and leave the rest to him. I can do that.

Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.

Commit to the Lord whatever you do? That is a lot. I do a lot of things. Do I commit writing to the Lord? If I want it to be good, I do. Do I commit my driving to the Lord? If I want to be safe, I do. Do I commit changing my grand babies diaper to the Lord? What a great time to pray! Commit it all to the Lord and He has promised you success. This is the simplest path to success I have ever found. I commit this article to you Lord. Thank you for making it a success.
