Ashley Summers – Last Seen

Ashley was last seen near her home on W. 96th St., Cleveland, Ohio on July 6, 2007, and was reported missing July 9, 2007. Ashley packed her clothes and left home after a family argument on July 6, 2007. Family members say that Ashley had left home before, but always returned after a few days. However, this time the 14-year-old did not come back home.

A month after Ashley was reported missing she called home to tell her mother not to worry, and that she was alright. Then, in November 2007, Ashley’s step-grandmother sighted her sitting in a car on West 44th Street, but before she could turn her car around she had disappeared. When last seen Ashley was said to have short hair, and dyed blond.

Police say Ashley left home of her own accord, but because of her age she is considered an endangered runaway.

Ashley Summers – Physical Description

Ashley’s date of birth is June 16, 1993. Ashley is a white female with blue eyes, brown hair, and when reported missing weighed 130 lbs (59 kg), 5′ 5″ (165 cm) in height, and has a tattoo of “Gene” and a heart on her right arm.

When last seen Ashley was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers. Today, Ashley would be 18-years-old.

Ashley Summers – Missing Person Case Background Information

Ashley Nicole Summers is one of three Cleveland teenage girls reported missing in a four year period who lived within blocks of each other. Amanda Berry reported missing April 21, 2003, Georgina DeJesus reported missing April 2, 2004 and Ashley Nicole Summers reported missing July 9, 2007. Police are trying to tie the three cases together, but have been unable thus far. However, one theory is that the teens are being forcibly held, and are victims of an illegal prostitution ring.
