The Big Show vs. Alberto Del Rio match was quite shocking. Alberto Del Rio was making his entrance down the ramp after arriving in the arena in one of his luxury cars. ADR (Alberto Del Rio) hadn’t even made his way to the ring yet, and Big Show began to assault him. The bell hadn’t ringed yet, but that wasn’t stopping The Big Show from assaulting ADR. The Big Show landed some good blows on Del Rio and threw Del Rio into the ring. Del Rio quickly slid out the ring, but Show caught him and threw him into the barricade.
Afterwards Big Show threw Del Rio against the barricade, Show threw Del Rio into the ring. Then, Show attempted to climb in the ring and began the match. Suddenly, Mark Henry emerged behind the Big Show and began to beat the hell out of him. Then Henry threw the 500 pound athlete over the announcement table. If you’re wondering why Mark Henry is doing this, it’s because the Big Show decimated Henry on Smackdown this past Friday. The Big Show hurt Henry so bad that Mark Henry had to leave the arena on a stretcher for the first time in his career. Mark Henry just wanted to exact some revenge, and man did he get some.
After throwing the Big Show over the announcement table that Booker T, Cole and King were at, Mark Henry did the most shocking thing. He lifted the 500 pound Big Show and performed the “World Strongest Slam” to Show through the Spainish announcement table. Usually, most wrestlers take off the black part that is on top of the announcement table, not Mark Henry. He slammed the Big Show through the table and wowed the crowd. Henry looked as if he was done punishing the Big Show, but returned to slam the Big Show’s knee on the broken announcement table. (Mark Henry left afterwards)(Remember, the left knee was ran over by Del Rio’s car a few weeks back.)
As the Big Show held his left knee in pain after what Henry did to him, Del Rio was so ecstatic in the ring. Del Rio was going to lose this match, but Henry did him a huge favor and now he had complete control. The ref made sure to keep ADR in the ring away from the hurt Big Show outside the ring. Eventually, the ref began to make a count because the Big Show was taking too long to get in the ring and start the match. The Big Show had trouble standing on his two feet, but eventually got in the ring. (Finally, the ref began the match.)
The Big Show got in some early offense, but it wasn’t his best. Show was able to land some chops, and even landed the “Chokeslam” on Del Rio. The problem was that Big Show’s knee buckled as he landed the “Chokeslam.” It was effective, but Del Rio got out the ring. Eventually, the Big Show’s offense dwindled and Del Rio began to decimate the Big Show.
Del Rio focused on the left knee, and that’s what kept him ahead the entire time. ADR constantly attacked the left knee and Big Show looked helpless. Eventually, Del Rio put The Big Show in a “Reverse Leg Lock” that focused on the left knee. The Big Show was able to get a rope break, but he could no longer stand on his two feet or defend himself. Del Rio had intentions of attacking the Big Show on a number of occasions, but the ref didnt allow it. (because Big Show couldn’t stand on his two feet.) The referee told the Big Show that he was unable to compete and declared Alberto Del Rio the winner of the match. The Big Show couldnt leave the arena on his own, several trainers had to help him out.
