Simplified Version – God Created Adam And Eve
God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.” Genesis 1:26
God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (Matt. 19:4) On the sixth day of the World’s Creation God made Adam and Eve, the very first humans. Ps. 103:14 – 1 Cor. 15:45
God blessed them, and said unto them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth”. (Gen 1:28) God formed Adam first from the dust of the ground, and God then, breathed into Adams nostrils. After God had done this, He said, “It is not good that man should be alone.” (Gen 2:18)
God made all the animals, birds, and He let Adam give each of them names. God then put Adam into a sound sleep and made Eve from one of Adam’s ribs, this would provide him “a helper as his partner. (Gen 2:20)
God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there He put the man whom He had formed. He brought out of the ground trees that were pleasant to their sight, and for food; with the tree of life in the midst of the garden, and also the tree of knowledge of good and evil. There was a river that went out of Eden to water their garden. (Is. 51:13 – 4:16, Gen 2:8, 9, 10, Ezek. 31:8 – Rev. 2:7; 22:2, 14)
Adam and Eve roamed through the Garden of Eden peacefully amongst the beauty of nature. They drank water from the streams and ate fruit from the many trees, God told them not to touch the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and if they did, for in the day thou eats thereof thou shall surely die. (Rom 5:12; 1 Cor. 15:21, 22) Adam and Eve disobeyed God and they ended up eating fruit from the forbidden tree. As soon as they ate from the tree, God punished them, and their lives were changed forever.
God ordered them to leave the Garden of Eden, and from then on, they would have to work hard for their food and their shelter and they were also subjected to illness and pain. And the worse thing of all, they would eventually die.
Adam and Eve were the parents of Cain, Abel, Seth, and other sons and daughters, and the Bible tells us that Adam lived to be 930 years old, but it does not tell us how long Eve lived.
Did you know, the sin of Adam and Eve eating from the forbidden tree affected every person who came after them in this world? Thousands of years later, Jesus, the “new Adam,” came to free us all from sin and death.
