A Review of Weight Watchers Smart Ones Turtle Sundaes: 130 Calories

Being an ice cream fan, I was thrilled to find Weight Watchers Smart Ones Turtle Sundaes in the frozen ice cream treats section of my local grocery store. These looked fabulous. I decided to purchase them, try them out and write an unbiased product review all about them. Here is what I discovered!

These sundaes have low fat vanilla flavored ice cream, a praline flavored cookie crust, caramel, chocolate chunks and lots of pecans in them. That sounded really good to me. This is a new Smart Ones dessert. It equals four weight watchers points plus value. I could not wait to taste this diet friendly ice cream sundae.

There are two sundaes in each box and one box of Weight Watchers Smart Ones Turtle Sundaes costs two dollars and fifty cents. You can microwave thaw or room temperature thaw this dessert. If you choose the microwave method, you remove the film cover and place in your microwave, heating on high for five seconds. If you room thaw this product, you remove the film cover and thaw at room temperature for five minutes. I used the microwave thaw method and I actually had to microwave this dessert for ten seconds. It was perfect.

When I tasted Weight Watchers Smart Ones Turtle Sundae, I liked it very much. The yummy caramel topping and plentiful pecans are the best part of this treat. There a few chocolate chunks present. The praline flavored cookie crust was delicious but, scarce, I must admit. The low fat vanilla flavored ice cream is great but, you can tell that is low fat. Overall, this dish is good. It could be better, though. I rate it three and one half stars out of five stars. I probably will not buy this frozen dessert again, but it was fun to try. The sundae cups are quite small. That was a bit disappointing. These are available in peanut butter and brownie, too.

One turtle sundae has 130 calories. Only 25 of those calories come from fat. One sundae has just 3 grams of total fat, 1 gram of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 0.5 grams of polyunsaturated fat, 1.5 grams of monounsaturated fat, 5 mg’s of cholesterol, 75 mg’s of sodium, 23 grams of total carbs, 0 grams of dietary fiber, 10 grams of sugars and 3 grams of protein. This dessert does have a small amount of calcium in it. This product does contain tree nuts, pecans, milk, soybeans and wheat. For dieters, this treat is a winner, but you will know you are missing something. Still, the low cal sundae concept is good.

I enjoyed trying Weight Watchers Smart Ones Turtle Sundaes and writing this product review all about them. A fun frozen dessert to try and very diet friendly. For more information, you can visit the eatyourbest.com website.
