A Review of Quaker White Cheddar Rice Cakes: Gluten Free

I am a long time fan of many Quaker brand food products. When I spotted a package of Quaker White Cheddar Rice Cakes in the snack section of my local favorite grocery store, I could not resist. I decided to purchase this snack, try it out and write an unbiased product review all about my personal experience with it. Here is what I discovered!

A package of fourteen of these costs around three dollars. Maybe a bit over, depending on where you buy these at. I discovered that this rice snack is gluten free. It is also low cal and very low in fat. This snack has very little sugar in it. I liked that. I could not wait to taste these!

Quaker White Cheddar Rice Cakes are large and filling. That is a big plus. They have great cheddar taste. When I tasted them, I liked them. The white cheddar flavor is abundant and I have to give kudos to Quaker for that. These are cheesy and crispy. A crunchy and fun snack. On the down side, these are a bit styrofoam textured and have a cardboard feel. A big cake block of rice snack. Such is the way of many large rice snack cakes, I must admit. Still, overall, these are yummy. A bit too salty, I have to say. Less sodium would be welcome, in my opinion. I rate these three and one half stars out of five stars. They could be a lot better. I might buy them again, but I need a change in this snack, for sure. Less salt and a better texture would help.

One Quaker White Cheddar Rice Cake has only 45 calories in it. This snack has 0.5 grams of total fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 105 mg’s sodium, 8 grams of total carbs and 1 gram of sugars. These are flavored with buttermilk, nonfat milk, whole grain brown rice, corn, salt, butter, cream, cheddar cheese, egg and many other ingredients. This snack is quite crispy and fun to eat. This product contains egg, milk, soy ingredients and may contain traces of peanuts.

I liked trying Quaker White Cheddar Rice Cakes and writing a product review about them. I must admit that I was a bit disappointed by them. I expected less of a styrofoam texture and a better snack. These are different but, be ready for quite a bit of salt and a cardboard texture, unfortunately. As rice cakes go, these do pack a nice flavor, for sure. Quaker rice cakes are available in many different flavors. For more information, you can visit the quakerricesnacks.com website. This snack is rich in whole grain and I give the Quaker company kudos for that fact! Remember, do not microwave or heat these in a toaster oven. This product is a nice treat for dieters that are not too picky.
