I have mixed opinions regarding rice cakes. Some, I really like and some, I don’t. When I came across a bag of Quaker Chocolate Crunch Rice Cakes, I was very interested in them. I couldn’t resist them. I decided to purchase them, try them and write an unbiased product review all about my personal experience with them. Here is what I discovered!
One bag of Quaker Chocolate Crunch Rice Cakes has fourteen cakes in it. Since one bag costs around three dollars, that is not a bad deal, in my opinion. Each cake is large and a perfectly sized serving. Being the chocolate lover that I am, I just had to taste these. Chocolate rice cakes? No way. Way. Interesting. I discovered that these are gluten free and that fact is fantastic for those who can’t eat gluten products. Here is a snack for you. This rice cake snack is also low cal, low fat and decently low carb. I could not wait to try this product!
When I tasted these, I was smitten. They are really good. Normally, I would think that anyone eating a chocolate rice cake was a bit crazy. Not so. These have a great crunch to them, are crispy and pretty chocolaty. How about that? Who knew? I like these plain, but you can do all sorts of things to them, if you wish. They do taste like chocolate rice krispies and that should give you many ideas about how to enjoy these. Though they are not too sweet, they do deliver chocolate crunch, I must say. If you can get over the thick styrofoam like texture, these may do.
I rate Quaker Chocolate Crunch Rice Cakes four stars out of five stars. I probably will buy these again. With fourteen rice cakes, one bag lasts me a long time. A friend of mine calls these cakes chocolate cereal fool you cakes. At least, they do give you a taste of what you are missing from a bowl of chocolate rice krispies. Sigh. Anyway, there is good news. One of these has only 60 calories. Just 10 of those calories come from fat. Yay! These have only 1 gram of total fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 30 mg’s of sodium, 11 grams of total carbs, 3 grams of sugars and 1 gram of protein.
I loved trying Quaker Chocolate Crunch Rice Cakes and writing a food product review about them. They are fun and different. I think this snack is creative and worth a try for chocolate loving rice cake fans. They do help a dieter out and that is always nice. You feel like you have a treat, when you eat these, sort of. QuakerRrice Cakes are also available in other flavors like caramel corn, apple cinnamon, buttered popped corn, white cheddar, salt free and many other flavors. For more information, you can visit the quakerricesnacks.com website. This snack is a winner, in my book.
