I am a big fan of many Campbell’s brand food products. Recently, a relative of mine became sick and requested that I pick her up some chicken noodle soup. When I spotted a can of Campbell’s Less Sodium Chicken Noodle Soup in my local grocery store, I knew it was the right choice. I decided to purchase it, try it out and write a product review all about it. Here is what I discovered!
I like chicken noodle soup too, so I bought several cans of Campbell’s Less Sodium Chicken Noodle Soup. At around one dollar a can, the price is affordable. I like to keep soup on hand and this brand is well known for their high quality soups. I liked the fact that this soup has twenty-five percent less sodium in it than the regular Campbell’s chicken noodle soup. It is made with natural sea salt and I am a big user of sea salt. Often, I like to add crackers to my soup and that always increases the sodium content, so having lower amounts of salt in my soup is great! I could not wait to taste this soup and see if it was as good as regular chicken noodle soup.
This soup is perfect for microwave cooking and that is how I chose to prepare it. I poured the contents into a large microwave safe bowl, added one can of water to this soup, stirred, covered and heated on high for a few minutes. This soup looked good and smelled wonderful. When I tasted Campbell’s Less Sodium Chicken Noodle Soup, I loved it. I discovered that it is just as good as the regular version and even better for me, health wise. Lots of chunks of chicken, rich chicken broth and plenty of tender long noodles make this soup a winner. It is flavorful and delicious. With or without crackers. My relative let me know that she loved this soup too and she appreciated me buying the lower sodium version of it. I was delighted.
I rate this soup five stars out of five stars. I will be buying it again. I loved the easy open flip top lid on this product and it is nice not to have to use a can opener. For a quick soup and sandwich lunch, this one is a favorite of mine. My relative believes it has healing qualities and I do, too. If you have a cold or the flu and do not want any heavy food, this soup will revive and restore you. It is also low cal, low in fat and low in cholesterol. Fantastic!
One serving has only 60 calories. Just 20 of those calories are from fat. Wow! One serving has 2 grams of total fat, 0.5 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 0.5 grams of polyunsaturated fat, 1 gram of monounsaturated fat, 15 mg’s of cholesterol, 660 mg’s of sodium, 90 mg’s of potassium, 8 grams of total carbs, 1 gram of dietary fiber, 1 gram of sugars and 3 grams of protein. With ingredients like wheat, chicken stock, eggs, flour, chicken, chicken fat and sea salt, no wonder this soup is so tasty.
