Summer means there’s no school, lots of time to spend outdoors, picnics, barbeques and of course the 4th of July. The day we celebrate our country’s independence by gathering as a community, having fun, eating and watching a fireworks display. With fireworks displays everywhere, Palm Beach County is the place to be this 4th of July.
Boca Raton: Palm Beach County’s 4th Annual 4th of July celebration will be held at the Sunset Cove Amphitheatre (12551 Glades Rd). The gates open at 5:30PM. The festivities start at 6:30PM with a concert by Soul Survivors followed by a fireworks display by Zambelli Fireworks. This free event allows for lawn chairs and picnic baskets, but leave your four-legged family members and personal fireworks at home. You may bring your own alcoholic beverages, but no glass containers. There will be food vendors – 4 Alarm Pizza, Good Humor ice cream, hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn and the like if you want to leave the picnic basket at home.
Boynton Beach: The Boynton Beach Salute to America presented by The Boynton Beach CRA will be held at the Intercoastal Park (Federal Highway, just south of Gateway Blvd.) The park will open at 6PM. This is a family friendly event, however, pets are prohibited. Service dogs are allowed. There will be live music from 6:30-9PM by the Amber Leigh Band. 7:30 will be the Patriotic Salute. The fireworks display by Grucci will begin at 9PM. Bring chairs and blankets and set up a spot by the water to enjoy the show! There will be food and drink vendors (no outside food is allowed) and a full bar. Please note that you will need ID to make an alcoholic purchase. No ID = no alcohol! Personal fireworks (including sparklers) are not permitted, no exception. This event is free and parking is available. Should the lot be full, there is a free park & ride service from the Bank of America (Federal Hwy & Ocean Ave) to Intercoastal Park.
Greenacres: Ignite the Night will be held at the Greenacres Community Park (2905 Jog Road – by the fire house). There will be entertainment, activities for the kids, food, fun, and of course fireworks! Bring the whole family, leave the pets at home. This free event runs from 5:30PM-10PM and has ample parking in the shopping plaza across the street by the CVS on 10th Avenue.
Royal Palm Beach: The Village of Royal Palm Beach’s Star Spangled Spectacular will be a full day event including sports tournaments in the morning. The Red, White, & Blue Fishing Tournament will be held at Lakeside Challenger Park from 6AM-12PM. The Firecracker Golf Tournament will be at the Village Golf Club starting at 8AM with lunch and awards being held at 12:30. You must pre-register (fee) for the Golf Tournament (561-790-5149). If golf and fishing aren’t your thing, head on over to Camellia Park at 9AM for the 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament and the Mixed Doubles Tennis Tournament. Please note that pre-registration is required at the RPB Rec. Center (561-790-5124). From 5PM-10PM at Lakeside Challenger Park there will be Food Vendors, Free hot dogs and water (starting at 5PM until supplies last), and free open kayaking on the Lakeside Challenger from 4PM-6PM followed by The Mayor Cup Kayak Race at 6PM. Live music will be provided by DJ Terry Harms and run from 5PM-11PM. There will be free interactive games from 5PM-9PM (including an obstacle course, waterslide and bounce house) and a free children’s holiday craft tent. The fireworks display, by Zambelli Fireworks Internationale, will start at 9PM over Lakeside Challenger Park. You may bring chairs, food, and drinks and set up a spot to enjoy the show. Please note that no alcohol or personal fireworks are permitted. Royal Palm Beach Blvd at Seminole Palm Dr. will be closed at 3PM that day for set-up.
West Palm Beach: American West Palm Beach 4th on Flagler Celebration will be at the Downtown West Palm Beach Waterfront (101 N. Clematis St). This free event runs from 5PM-10PM with the fireworks display starting at 9PM. There will be a kids area, a mini rodeo, a real stage coach, live bands, the Firefighters’ Slash and Dash, food, fun, and the unfurling of a giant American Flag! Parking at all downtown meters will be free. Maps, directions, and parking information can be found on their website .
