A Fans Perspective: Houston Dynamo Tie Seattle Sounders 1-1

The Houston Dynamo finishes with a 1-1 draw March 25th at Qwest Field against the Seattle Sounders. With a large MLS crowd of 36, 204 it was goalkeeper Tally Halls night to shine. He really showed us what he is capable of in this game. Playing with an audience of roughly 40 family members from Washington, Hall made seven critical saves Friday night. Fans in Houston will be split over the dynamics of this tying match. I was very dissappointed in that I could not find this game televised in Houston. I have Direct TV and it did not seem available with my current package. Regardless, the first goal is bittersweet for us. Seattle is a very difficult venue, so I am happy with a draw.

The first time in club history, the Dynamo started two rookies Will Bruin and Kofi Sarkodie. Sarkodie having turned 20 last week became the youngest Houston player to start an MLS match. I was very impressed with Sarkodie and his legwork. I look forward to seeing him in Saturdays match in New Jersey.Geoff Cameron scored the first goal of Houston’s season in the 42nd minute, but Seattle countered the goal in the 80th minute. If you too are a fan of Cameron you can follow him on Twitter @GeoffCameron. By following them on Twitter you can get a feel for their personalities by their comments and see photos that they post. Cameron posted a photo before the game of the view out his hotel window in Seattle. They do frequently make comments about their performance and teammates. Check it out!
