6 Fabulous Craft & Summer Festivals in Michigan 2011

1. Midland 45th Annual Summer Art Fair

Where: Midland Center for the Arts, 1801 W. St. Andrews Rd., Midland, Michigan 48640

When: June 4 – June 5, 2011

Time: 10-5p.m each day

This is an event that will be outdoors. You will be able to enjoy the beautiful outdoors while enjoying beautiful summer crafts at the same time. The Admission is free. Activities will include over 150 artists presented, art demonstrations, musical entertainment, and much more. Be sure to mark this event on your calendar.

2. Curwood 34th Festival

Where: 308 West Main St., Owosso, Michigan 48867

When: June 2-5th, 2011

Splash Times for the Ultimate Air Dogs Event:

Thursday, June 2 at 6pm, Friday, June 3 at 7 p.m, Saturday, June 4 at 11 am, 3 pm, and 6:30 p.m., and June 5, Sunday at 3 p.m.

Events will include the Ultimate Air Dogs here you will see dogs of all breeds and mixes performing elaborate types of jumps. Jump fees are $15 per splash, fetch or catch if you are pre-registered. If not re-registered there will be a $20 per splash, fetch or catch. These prices will change Possibly in May, 2011. Do you enjoy carnivals? There will be a carnival and two parades for this awesome event.

3. Lapeer Art & History Festival

Where: Chatfield School, 231 Lake Forest Drive, Lapeer, Michigan 48446

When: June 4,5th, 2011

Time: 10 A.M

The activities will include storytellers, historical activities, and much more. This is a craft fair you must see.

4. Saugatuck Village Square Art and Fine Crafts Fair

Where: Cook Park, 317 Butler St., Saugatuck, Michigan

When: Saturday, July 30, 2011

Time: 10 am-5 pm

This is presented by the Saugatuck Douglas Art Club. There will be various food vendors and great selections of fine arts. Mark your calendars accordingly.

5. 4th Annual Tawas Bay Kite Festival

Where: East Tawas City Park, 402 E. Lake St.. East Tawas, Michigan

When: June 4,2011

Time: 10am-6p.m.

Do your children love to fly kites? This is a day set aside for children and adults to do just that, fly kites. There will be free kite give aways, candy drops, and stunt kites.

6. Lakefront Festival of Art, Washington Park, Michigan City, Indiana

Where: 115 Lakeshore Drive, Michigan City, Indiana

When: August 21 *22, 2011

Time: Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 10 a.m to 5p.m.

Have you ever seen art in the park? You can see it here on the shores of Michigan City, Indiana. I remember the beach in Michigan City. It was so beautiful. I used to love going to the beach. Michigan City is not a very large city, but there are great events there. Admission fee is $4.00 and children under 12 are free.
