5 Inspirational Bible Verses

My entire life has been like a rollercoaster, with many ups and downs. I always look for inspiration in the Bible; it is my guide in life. When you feel down you can always trust in God’s word, and you will see that He has a purpose for all of us. I will list 5 verses from the Bible which I believe are inspirational and have changed my life and can change yours as well.

1 Peter 3:1-2
Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear.

What does this verse mean? If you are with someone who does not do God’s will you do not need to force them into going to church, or reading the Bible, let God work with them. You need to continue what God wants you to do, keep His commandments and be a good wife. This verse helps you understand that by your conduct as a Christian your husband may be won. Believe in the Lord and you will see how He will do wonders, it might take some time but do not give up and always pray.

Matthew 7:7-8
Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

This verse does not mean you have to literally knock on a door, what it means is that if you seek God you will find Him. If you keep asking He will give to you. Seek in a way that you will not grow tired of doing so, your lifestyle must change and your appearance as well. Those who seek the word of God will find everlasting love and will enter the Kingdom of God.

Matthew 6:19-21
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Treasures on earth are material things, many of us want to have the best of everything. When you die all these things will stay on earth, you will not be able to take them with you, so what was the purpose of these things? Did having the best of everything help you have a better relationship with God? Did you help others by having more expensive things sitting around? Of course not, you need to lay up treasures in heaven by doing what God wants you to do. Help the poor and the less fortunate, only buy what you need. Follow Gods word and live the life as He wants us to. By doing this God will see the good in you and save you a seat in heaven.

Matthew 6:33-34
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Plain and simple, do not worry about tomorrow, for God will make sure you have what you need. But only if you seek Him shall He give you what you need and what you seek.

Acts 16:31
So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household”.

One of my favorite verses is this last one. God will bless your home by how you live and seek Him. If you believe in the Lord then your family, your household will be saved. What more do you need, God is letting you know that you will not only save yourself by keeping his commandments but He will save your family by your actions.

I only listed 5 but there are endless verses in the Bible that are truly inspirational, I wish I could post them all. Remember that when you are going through any type of hardship God is watching over you, He is taking care of you and your household. Trust in Him and never lose faith for He will never let you down. God bless you and your family and may you keep your faith always.
