For Cass County, there are three events that would be great for the whole family to attend. Cranberry Lake Campground hosts a fireworks show at their facility. Admission to the show will include the regular site rates for the campground. The campground will also provide a golf cart parade and bake sale before the fireworks show begins. Another 4th of July event in Cass County is the Sister Lakes Lions Club Fireworks, which are located on the Lions Club grounds. Admission to this event is free, and can be enjoyed by everyone in the family. There will be a Bigfoot 4th of July parade that will start at 5pm and the fireworks show will begin at dusk. Another 4th of July event located in Cass County is the Cassopolis Fireworks located in Cassopolis, MI on Diamond Lake. The show is to start at 10:15 on July 2nd. Admission to the event is free and the rain date for the event is July 3rd at 10:15.
Berrien County is also a great place for the family to celebrate this patriotic holiday. In Watervliet, MI, everyone is welcomed to the Watervliet Independence Day Celebration. While some of the events may include a fee, the fireworks show is free to the public. The event takes place from July 1st-3rd and will offer a carnival, pancake breakfast, games, kiddies scavenger hunt, car show and much more. Another 4th of July event located in Berrien County is the Baroda fireworks show, located in Baroda, MI, at the downtown Baroda American Legion Post 345. Admission to the event will be free and parking will be available at the Legion field. This event is to take place on July 3rd at dusk.
Also providing free admission is the New Buffalo Independence Day celebration located on Buffalo Beach in New Buffalo, MI. This celebration is to take place on July 1st-3rd. While there, look for live music downtown, volleyball and surfing activities, and a performance by the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra.
Niles, MI and St. Joseph, MI also provide fireworks shows that are open to the public. The Niles 4th of July celebration is located at the Four Flags Apple Festival Fairgrounds, where the fireworks show starts at dusk on July 3rd. The St. Joseph Fireworks display is located at Silver Beach, shot off of the pier lighthouse. The fireworks show will begin at 10:00 on July 4th.
