If you were to describe the people that live in my house, at one point, you would likely refer to my family as a family of pack rats. And, since we do have a tendency to hold onto things for much longer than we really need them, I would have no problem agreeing with you.
On one hand, this does lead to clutter. However, on the other hand, there are quite a few things in our house that we hold onto simply because they are worth it. One of those things is our Presto Pizza Pizzazz Pizza Oven.
My wife and I have had this pizza oven almost as long as we have had our house. We got it about three months after moving into our home and, even though, at the time, it seemed like a somewhat expensive and unnecessary purchase, it remained one of our favorite kitchen appliances.
We bought the Pizza Pizzazz shortly after our other pizza oven (one of those bulky metal ones that you slide the pizza into on a tray) had a bit of an accident involving a frozen pizza falling off the rack and directly onto the burners (something that could not be cleaned up without taking the oven apart). It was such a disaster, my wife and I decided we wanted an oven that was designed to prevent that and the Pizza Pizzazz fit that description perfectly.
I’ll confess I had my doubts when we bought this pizza oven. After all, most ovens involve baking the pizza in an enclosed area. This one involves placing the pizza on a rotating tray out in the open and letting it cook under nothing more than a hot coil. But, to this day, I have no complaints.
First, the pizzas always come out exactly the way we like them. This is both because we can monitor them as they are cooking and, if we forget, the oven turns itself off automatically after a certain amount of time. In other words, while it is still likely possible to overcook a pizza on this oven, we have yet to do it.
Also, unlike our regular oven or even our old pizza oven, there’s no need to pre-heat the Pizza Pizzazz. This is a big deal for me because it means the pizza is done before our conventional oven would even be pre-heated.
The best part of this oven, however, is how easy it is to get the pizza out of it. Again, this might not seem like a big deal. But, after having that pizza fall off the rack, I have to say it is. All you have to do with this one is lift the pan up and place it wherever you want to cut the pizza. There’s no chance of losing the pizza or of burning yourself (unless you forget to use an oven mitt).
I should also mention that, unlike many traditional pizza ovens, this one does not take up a great deal of space. I love this because we don’t have a lot of extra counter surfaces or cupboards so the less space something like this takes up, the better.
This is a fantastic product that I have not grown tired of even after four years. If you eat a lot of frozen pizzas (or even deli-style pizzas), I recommend investing in this pizza oven.
