2011 Must-See Summer Movies

Get ready for a summer full of action, adventure and laughs. Several continuations of previous movie hits are set to be in theaters this summer. With so many to see, here is a guide of the top ten most anticipated and must see movies for the summer of 2011.

X-men First Class:
In theaters June 3, 2011. Starring Kevin Bacon, James McAvoy. This edition is the Prequel to the original “X-Men” trilogy. The film centers on the teenage years of the first team of X-Men to come out of the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning.

Cars 2:
In theaters June 24, 2011. Starring the voices of Owen Wilson, Bonnie Hunt and Larry the Cable Guy. This edition will be presented in Disney Digital 3D and IMAX 3D in select theaters. In Cars 2 Lighting McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) and tow truck Mater (voice of Larry the Cable Guy) compete World Grand Prix. Mater gets involved in his own little adventure of international spying.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows II:
In theaters July 15, 2011. Starring Daniel Radcliff, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. This is the last adventure of Harry Potter as he tries to bring an end to his arch-rival, Lord Voldemort.

Final Destination 5:
In theaters August 12, 2011. Starring Nicholas D’Agosto and David Koechner. This installment of the series is similar to the previous installments in which teens escape a death only to later find out that death is chasing them.

Kung Fu Panda 2:
In theaters May 26, 2011. Starring Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu. The movie continues on with Po the Panda (Jack Black) and and his friends known as the Furious Five – Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey. The story follows Po who is looking for other pandas and comes across a group of bandits.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon:
In theaters June 29, 2011. Starring Shia LaBeouf and Tyrese Gibson. In this installment, Sam Witwicky (LaBeouf) is now an adult and a reluctant ally of Optimus Prime. The movie centers around the space race between the U.S.S.R. and the USA. The villain of the this film will be Shockwave.

Super 8:
In theaters June 10, 2011. Starring Kyle Chandler and Elle Fanning. After the closing of a section of Area 51, the materials are moved to a facility in Ohio. “Something” escapes from one of the trains cargo cars carrying some of the materials. Some kids making movies with their Super 8 cameras accidentally captures the “something” on film.

The Zookeeper:
In theaters July 8, 2011. Features an all-star cast of Kevin James, Adam Sandler, Jon Favreau, Cher, and Sylvester Stallone. In this movie a zookeeper receives help from his zoo pals in the art of romance.

Captain America: The First Avenger:
In theaters July 22, 2011. Starring Hugo Weaving and Chris Evans. After being deemed unfit for military service, Steve Rogers volunteers for a top secret research project after he was kicked out of the military. He turns into Captain America, a superhero dedicated to defending America.

Friends with Benefits:
In theaters July 22, 2011. Starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis.
This movie is about two busy people who are too busy to date, so they agree to sleep with each other with no strings attached. Things get complicated when the guy falls for the girl, who decides to get involved with someone else.
