Easter is a time for fun and family. The spring weather and Easter holiday is a time for rejuvenation and festivities. Nashville is a warm fun loving friendly town and offers a slew of Easter Events for all to enjoy. Here are a few activities for all of the family to enjoy.
Eggstravaganzoo @ Nashville Zoo
You and your family will love this annual event. This year on Saturday April 23rd Nashville Zoo will celebrate it’s 13th consecutive year of Eggstravaganzoo . There will be an endless amount of fun for all from egg hunts to games and even a few special guests. There are 30,000 plastic eggs distributed throughout zoo and when found are prize redeemable. There are no reservations required for this event but patrons are encouraged to arrive an hour before the appropriate egg hunt events. There are 5 different egg hunts according to age which range from 2 all the way up to ten years of age. Parents are welcome to accompany children onto the field but encouraged to stay on the side so all of the kiddies can hunt in their parents view. Eggstravanganzoo is included with zoo admission which is $14 for adults and teens, $12 for seniors, and children 2-12 are $9, and children under 2 are free. If you are a Nashville Zoo member then this event is free.
Spring Art Hop & Faberge Exhibit @ Cheekwood
This 19th annual festive event is held at the beautifully breathtaking Cheekwood on April 23rd rain or shine. This event includes an Easter egg hunt, scavenger hunt, and lots of entertainment. Entertainment includes the Easter bunny himself, face painting, balloon artists a magic show and a spring concert. Prizes are given out to children who find golden eggs. There are games and activities for children from 2 and up. This is a perfect event for families to enjoy. If you are a Cheekwood member this event is free, non-members and adults $12, for seniors $10, children 6-17 $5, kids five and under are free.
Belmont Easter Egg Hunt @ Belmont Mansion
The Belmont Mansion is a magical place all year round. It is especially magical during springtime. This event is a free community Easter egg hunt and is held on April 23rd. There are over 5,000 candy stuffed eggs hidden on the lawns of Belmont. Kids can win candy prizes and also visit with baby ducks. Some other activities also include face decorating and self made crafts such as Easter bunny eras and chick beaks. This is a fabulous festive event perfect for a family excursion. This event is rain or shine.
